If you could only have one of these traits in a partner you'll spend the rest of your life with, which would you choose?
I don't think those can be separated. Who says that being Practical isn't fun or vice versa?
But since you only gave two options, I'd have to go with Practical because a lot of life requires practicality in solving problems. It can be annoying when you want to be serious about something with your partner and they're not listening and just being silly.
But then again, if I don't have a fun partner, I think I'd actually DREAD being with them. LIfe's serious enough as it is, he, if he's a good partner, he BETTER make life at least bearable with fun ideas if he can and he cares! Lol. I think maybe I chose the wrong option. I should have chosen B. Because a lot of the times, I am known to be TOO practical in life.

My dad's a very fun person, even after 20 years of marriage he still gets my mum laughing daily, I'd want a person like that
Practical. I get it, feelings are important. But the Beatles were wrong when they said "all you need is love". Love can sustain you. And you never stop loving you. But the daily grind of life requires 2 people be on the same page. They don't have to think exactly alike (in fact it's better if they don't) but they do need to be united in the same goals if they want thier future to have any longevity.
I think a man needs to be both. A practical man will be able to afford the things that require a steady financial hand, but if he lacks a fun spontaneous element, his wife will be looking for a bad boy in later years. A Fun person has to be practical as well of his wife will tire of the hilarity due to his lack of financial stability. Now consider the paid comedian. I have wasted my breath?

I’d prefer both in the same person.

definitely fun... fun is not negotiable for me, has to be a must...
by the way, it would be nice if you could expand or elaborate on what your idea of practical would mean in this context (=
as in contrast or an option to fun Fun. I like men who are similar to my friends. Kindness is the most important trait, then comes loyalty, then fun and shared sense of humour. Practicality is important but not as much as being fun to be around. But, of course being fun means different things to different people.
I don't need someone who entertains me so is practical my choice. Practical means more useful.
Ideally both, but if I had to pick one I works say fun because you want to be in a relationship you can enjoy. Practical people can sometimes be too practical and it might be boring, stressful, or a turn off.
i feel like i'd prefer practical. because while it's nice to have fun, life doesn't work like that
Practicality for me always comes first.
I can't have fun while i am broke, starving, sick, in danger of degenerates invading my private life, being near a warzone and so on.
I love a fun woman.. Really I would prefer it... But, practical is probably better for me, so I chose it..
Practical for life long, you can’t always be having fun or you’ll get nowhere and have nothing in life
Life is too short not to have fun.
I would take the fun woman provided she is into sex as much as I am
Fun. There's always a way to get something done that's fun. Purely practical people can suck all the joy out of life
I want someone who is both and have physical touch as their love language
Practical is boring and detached. Fun is required for survival.
I voted fun because there needs to be balance in a relationship.
It needs to be some of each- all practical could get boring and all fun could be annoying.
I need someone fun because I'm too practical.
If I could only choose one, it will be fun
Fun. Practical is boring.
Fun and practical! You could be both.
