+1 yI take things slow,
takes time to earn my trust,
When I notice I might fall for someone, I try to shift my attention somewhere else to make sure, I wonāt fall for him too fast.
(Not doing that consciously)
My attempts still fail in the end, if he didnāt give up by the time I am done shifting my attention, I usually fall in love too.

2K opinions shared on Relationships topic. Pretty fast. If she is dragging her feet about getting into an exclusive relationship, I won't wait around for long.
I have a low opinion toward people who need guarantees before getting into a relationship. You can't know if you are suited for each other unless you are in a relationship.
If we like each other and are attracted to each other, that's enough for me initially.10 Reply

+1 yI want to take things at least a little slow, but at the same time I aināt gettinā any younger here. rofl Itās harder to take things slow as you get older, but I still need to be very sure sheās the right kind of person before going too far. Plus I want it to be romantic.

So many people are leaping into strangersā beds like itās a hobby⦠(or even a competitionā¦)
I need a relationship filled with friendship and romance.
+1 yI take it slower but when I do finally fall in love with someone, itās forever! I still have some feelings for my exes. Not like, āIād like to get back togetherā feelings but more like, āI hope theyāre doing okayā type feelings. I even think about their family members that I became close to.

+1 yI move pretty fast too. My boyfriend had to slow it down for me. It took almost two years to get to this point where we are now. Now I want marriage and he's just warming up to the idea. He moves at a snail's pace while I'm like a cheetah when it comes to relationships.

+1 yHonestly not proud about it, but I don't think I can take things slow. I fall for a girl pretty fast if I like them. After the first date, if we talk at length, I'd already ask them if they wanna make it official. I'm okay going at their pace for sex, but when I like a person I try to get into a relationship with them ASAP.
10 Reply I think there's a balance of slow and fast I do prefer. But most times it is safer to move faster I think. Better to just be in the moment than entirely too cautious or hesitant or distant because the mind runs off with this kinda shit too much. But there's personality traights that definitely determine how I want to approach anything with them. So its different with each.

m +1 yI've had it both ways, and in between... never too quick though, sometimes it was just very steady and the clicks happened right away too
23 Reply- +1 y
exactly... I guess that's different timing for different people, lol...
in my case, it was three weeks or so... but in just the first week I already knew it was to be and going to go great (that first week we did hang out for hours almost every day) and then we just took a bit more of time to "confirm"
but it all clicked... and I already had the "experience" to speed up things a bit, lol
i used to be fast, but now i take things slow. obviously this was due to lots of conflict within myself from previous experiences.
13 Reply726 opinions shared on Relationships topic. It's over 20 years since I started a new relationship but I proposed on our first date. Is that too fast? (She said yes)

Anonymous(25-29)+1 yI've not been in one but I'm pretty slow. I think it's important to make sure there is something there before things start to develop but also because I have serious anxiety issues and some other stuff that makes going fast not a good idea for me.

Opinion Owner+1 yYou didn't like them taking it slow?
Opinion Owner+1 yI can get why you'd want to act fast at points if you Crush on them.
Opinion Owner+1 yAhhh okay that makes sense.
Yeah I can't act fast I wouldn't want to be pushy but also something like a first date to me is massively anxiety inducing and well there are things that I'd have to talk about before getting to intimacy in anyway or even possibly just sleeping over.
Opinion Owner+1 yYeah I can only hope so but. Well there are some other things that are more difficult to understand I guess, one more so then others tbh.
Opinion Owner+1 yYeah. I kinda worry that because of that other thing I might be to slow for a partner.
Opinion Owner+1 yI hope so, some stuff isn't easy to talk about and I guess figuring out when.
Mind if I ask a question or two?
Opinion Owner+1 yWell do you think you should talk to a partner about it you have no experience at all. As I've never been on a date or anything. I've not even had an acceptance of me asking someone out.
And the other well the other is I've made the mistake of self-harm. And well is that a deal braker? And I think it would be important to talk about before a partner could see them if that makes sense.
Opinion Owner+1 yThank you, it's reassuring to know. Yeah I am working on that. I have been really good for a while.
Opinion Owner+1 yThank you, the goal is for a year and then I can get a tattoo to cover them. And thank you again for answering my questions on that. I really appreciate it.
Opinion Owner+1 yThank you, I really appreciate that it's amazingly kind of you. I may take you up on that if your serious.
And I'm sorry for not thanking you sooner.

Thanks
Opinion Owner+1 yYou have a Mediterranean look, too. Maybe you have some Albanian.
- +1 y
I have Balkan genes too and 7 countries out of the Balkan are Mediterranean or something
Opinion Owner+1 yYeah, I can see that. Why do a lot of Mediterranean women have a chill personality? I love being around them for some reason. Not just to date but just to talk to them. They're always so chill.
And they hang out with their families a lot; even the ones who are older go out to the movies with their siblings and parents. A lot of people stop going out with their whole family after a certain age.
Most people just hang out with their husbands or wives and barely see their parents and siblings. But I see a lot of them always make time to hang out with their cousin, brothers, and sisters.
I always get a sense of community and family vibes when I talk to them. Why are they so chill?- +1 y
