Girls, how would you feel in this situation?

A friend of mine, our two boyfriends and myself went to a wedding out of town this weekend. Our boyfriends and two guys got into an argument about them looking at their girlfriends, we ended up going back to the hotel and like an hour later the two guys, with their girlfriends broke our hotel door open! They started screaming at us and threatening us. My girlfriend and I were screaming back at them and telling them to get out, then security came and said they called the cops, so the two guys and girls took off. When everything settled down, my friend and looked over at our boyfriends and they were literally sitting on the bed crying! My friend and I sat next to them and were basically comforting them. It was humiliating for me! I know they must feel humiliated too but I can’t look at him the same. My friend feels the same way. My boyfriend blames me for everything and I just said, “you’re right”. Is it evil for me to actually think about breaking up over this? A guy is supposed protect his girl and comfort her (usually anyway). I’m just embarrassed for him and me. I really don’t see him as being a man.

Thank you! I needed to hear those words! My friend and I talked about it but she seems to have made up her mind. She just doesn’t respect him anymore and doesn’t think time will change that. I guess I feel the same way but just want to know that it doesn’t make me evil! You actually put it beautifully. Like my friend said, “do you think our fathers would have let that happen”? No, they wouldn’t have, there would probably have been four dead bodies.

Excellent point! I remember when I was 6 or 7, we were outside doing yard work when two biker dudes stopped to ask for directions to a bar. My mom is a very attractive woman and was wearing shorts and a tank top, the guy was apparently making rude comments to her when my dad came from the back of the house, yes, he heard it all. The two guys started walking towards him, so my dad picked up a rock and walked toward them. I’ll never forget what he said, if it’s what he actually said, because memories fade but it was something along the lines of, “if you don’t get the fuck out of here right now, you’ll be shitting teeth for a week”! They got on there bikes and said, “ we’ll be back”. My dad sat in our garage all night with a loaded gun. Looking back, I’m absolutely sure he was terrified but he knew what he had to do. Your boyfriend should be ashamed of himself! What kind of father would he to your children?

It happens, yes but I don’t wanna be the brave one. My friend pretty much said she can’t be with her boyfriend anymore, that she’ll probably never respect him. That me thinking also.

Yeah... I had to read it twice to understand the turn of events; it does seem like your boyfriends were emasculated. That's neither here nor there really, what I'd like to point out is your choice in men... do you perchance take the contraceptive pill? and are your boyfriends Nu-Males?

I would have grabbed the nearest wield-able object if someone was breaking down my door and gone to town: I have done so when attacked by a stalker before. This reflects badly on you as well as them.

Dump them, sure, but if your choices in men remain the same... well, expect this.

Can you tell me how I’m supposed to know how my boyfriend is gonna act during a situation like this while we’re just dating? Am I supposed to set up a fake scenario like a TikTok video? You sound like him! Yeah, some how it’s my fault! I think you and the other guy here are embarrassed by how he acted because it reflects bad on all guys! I’m other words, you make no sense!

It's not hard to gauge the masculinity of men naturally, but when on the pill it makes you less attracted to masculine men and more attracted to soft men; this is why I asked.

I said it's their fault by default, but you also chose them. I didn't blame you for their actions or causing the incident, I simply highlighted that their inability to be protective is a consequence of their softness, which you chose.
People can tell masculinity through someone's protectiveness, confidence, posture, assertiveness and visual cues; big hands, high cheek bones, broad shoulders, defined jaw, facial hair, etc. it's usually instinctive in women, but nit when they're on the contraceptive pill.

Thanks. I think you’re in that generation (no offense) that were still raised to be men, not that they’re still not out there but I don’t have one. I’m guessing you’re a husband and father and would do what needed to be done in that situation. I’m guessing my boyfriend is more distraught and embarrassed than I am! It’s been very quiet between us. He’s not what I want and he probably realizes that. I just think it’s funny how the younger guys are attacking me! Like I did something wrong! Thank you. Also, political correctness never did translate into reality very well,
