+1 yIt shouldn't ever have to be. Especially given how much the Supreme Court has shown that it's not on our side anymore. It's also whored itself out to foreign investors. Meaning, companies that should be hyperventilating at how many personal punishments a judge puts on every single one of their members for their criminal acts involving espionage and abuse of your data, are instead being given largely carte blanche to abuse your information willy-nilly.
That naughty nip-slip your girlfriend sent you on Skype? Microsoft can now do whatever they want with it. Disgusting; but true. The only time you can *maybe* get away with that kind of pillow talk anymore, is if you actually get a hotel room together. And even then, there's no absolute guarantee of privacy.
And the worst abusers will always be involved with the government or with some major corporation, so that they always have some BS excuse to invade your privacy without penalty, while a random nobody pervert acting unilaterally and doing the same thing won't have an army of suitcase-carrying crooks to defend himself with.
And then you'll have those morally apathetic wastes of oxygen that prove Niemoller's postulate right. And until it happens to them, will not care that we live in a disgusting world where personal rights and privacy are dead.

m +1 yNo it would be terrible if that was required to keep a relationship going. There is a thing about talking to each other, flirting in real life with your partner, things like that. Doing dirty testing is a random thing you might do with some partners, but it’s not a thing to keep a spark alive. I dread to think having to do that in a relationship. I would leave tbh.

+1 yHaving a healthy sex life is important, however people choose to keep the spark alive… for those that are into dirty texting, by all means, but not everyone is in to that, some prefer a more “hands on” approach 😁

u +1 yIf dirty texting between partners was important to keep the spark in a relationship alive, then everyone before about 1995 had a dead relationship, right?, because very few people had cell phones before then.

+1 yI think if you're in a somewhat long distance relationship then yes it's somewhat important, but honestly it's tough. I remember my ex always wanted me to send her nudes and would always send me stuff, but I was never into the online stuff. Kinda gets boring after the first couple times. I'm more into waiting until we see each other in person. But it's important to satisfy your partner's desires as well.

+1 yYes it's healthy for one another to do this. No one on here can say they haven't done it. It may be different from guy/girl that your with. So ease into it test the water and see what happens. Never just send a pick of you bannana. Start PG13 to rated R. Then ease into the XXX. ots always ok to try something new especially when your in a relationship.

Now I wonder why people hump their phones! I like things face to face not person to phone to cellphone tower to phone to person.

597 opinions shared on Relationships topic. I don’t see the need. If you are compatible, you don’t need to sext to keep the relationship going. I guess if you’re in a long distance relationship, video calls and texts are welcome, but still, they don’t have to be only sexual in nature.

20 ReplyDepends. We aren't the type to enjoy that. It would be too weird for us. But we do other things to keep the spark alive. And if thats your thing , then why not.

Tbf we are pretty old souls even the way we met lol. So for us, we keep the spark by going on dates. I guess just kinda pretending its our first date and getting to know eachother. Even tho its been years. Its fun to give each other, different names. Get a hotel room (kids stay with a babysitter) and pretend we just met again. I also try to keep the spark by suprising him with unexpected things such as notes in his lunches or in his car, stopping by work and eat lunch with him etc... And he does the same. He writes me letters and poems randomly.
I think it's better to do it in person instead of over text. My now boyfriend is a virgin and he would sext me but it makes me uncomfortable because i know the things he imagines cannot become reality. As in, he will say he will come a gallon or that he will fuck me 7 times. And i had slept with virgins before, i know it takes practice to perfect it
