Should romantic relationships have unconditional love?

I believe so yes. But there are exceptions to the rule. If someone is cheating, willfully not giving anything to the relationship, abuse situations; and things like that. I don’t think it should be unconditional.

I know. A lot of people who are the abuser, expecting someone to give their all and give little to none in return, as well as cheaters love saying. That’s not romantic. You should love someone at their worst and you don’t deserve their best.

To a extent. That’s true. You should love someone at their worst. If they’re going through something. But not to just treat you badly. I don’t think there is any excuse to treat someone bad over something that’s out of their control.

I think adult relationships should at least be conditional even if the love isn't. My wife and I might continue to love each unconditionally no matter what but our marriage is at least based on a vow of fidelity. We gave an oath to stay faithful to one another until death. So if either of us violates this condition, our marriage is broken.

The only time I believe in an unconditional relationship is between parent to child or pet owner to pet. I don't agree with the ethics of parents disowning their children, for example. Yet I do think infidelity is reason enough to divorce along with spousal abuse and other forms of gross negligence that violate our wedding vows.

Romantic relationships should but we live in a country (the USA) where everything is about women and no one gives a shit about men. Women are incapable of romantic interest in men they’re just interested in money and the fact that they have all the power over whether a baby is born or not. Women aren’t gods yet they believe themselves to be. And unfortunately there are men out there who also believe women to be gods. It makes me sick

Yes! Unconditional love is typically a hallmark of blood relationships. The same should apply to romantic relationships, especially those that have the potential to create a new blood relationship.

Personally I'll put everything I can into the relationship but they just don't care about it. I would just move on there are so many people on this planet that I'm not going to waste my time on one person let alone I have friends and family that I like to hang out with.

No. It's naturally conditional. The term unconditional I think only really applies to a child or God if you're religious.

Your love is always conditioned and your exceptions are one example of that. However it's not too just say you give up on someone when they're low but I think it's definitely conditional
