How do I bring up issues with my girlfriend?

i, am a hardcore conservative. my girl is one to, but probably not as much as me. sure, i have 2 or 3 family members who don't align politically with the rest of the familes beleifs. but she has... more than a few. she is a republican, like me, but also an adomant swiftie, who (ms. swift) is a totoal leftist. how do I ask her "what do we beleive?" or who should we stop following?"

Dude I totally feel you, nothing wrong with wanting your girl to share your values. But you gotta go about this the right way or it'll just start a fight.

First off, don't demand she stop following anyone, that'll come off super controlling. Instead, have an honest heart-to-heart where you listen too. Say how much you care about her but it bothers you when certain views get promoted. See where her head's really at.

Maybe she doesn't agree with everything she follows - we all got fam we don't align with 100%. Compromise is key. As long as she's got your back on the big stuff that matters most, like family, could you accept differences on less important celebrity stuff?

Let her know your politics come from wanting what's best for y'all's future. Avoid accusations, just share how certain stances make you feel. Be open to her perspective too without getting defensive. communication and understanding is the only way relationships last, bro. You got this!

Since you’re 15, I’m going to go ahead and assume your girlfriend is also 15. Tastes in music change as you get older, and I’m certain your girlfriend’s tastes will also change. Telling her what to do, and who to listen or not listen to, will not benefit your relationship.

One thing you can do, if she’s trying to make you a “swiftie” is say something along the lines of, “I don’t want to follow Taylor Swift or become a fan because she believes/promotes xyz, which I don’t agree with. I don’t want my time, attention, and money going towards something I do not believe in.”
