How do you spot a gold digger?

I've learned that gold diggers don't come just as potential romantic partners, but also as friends and relatives.

In general, the standard run-on-the mill gold digger is easy to recognize - they are far too interested in how much you make, your finances ans most if not all their observations and compliments about you are around your possessions and wealth. Some are better at hiding it than others, but it comes out eventually.

There are variants too - the one that's bluntly honest about it and to be honest I can respect this sort somewhat.

Then there's the one that doesn't begin as one, but becomes one as time goes on, and this is the most insidious and sad case. They are genuinely interested in you as a person at first, but then exposure to wealth and your generosity ends up corrupting their character.

Unfortunately if you have money. You will attract these women into your life. Who are wanting money NOT love. I can respect a woman whose honest. If she’s honest about what she wants. But some women (and men) are not direct and will pretend to be something they’re not.

You’re also right about friends and family can be gold diggers. If someone feels entitled to your money. That is one thing, and a lot of times they will guilt trip you. Like well you have money you should pay for this or that. You’re not married to someone what’s yours is not hers/his.

Yes it can happen when someone may be genuinely interested but get caught in temptation, and it also is the case some people PRETEND to be into you. Some are better at others. Some are so fake and disingenuous it’s easy to see and it’s a wonder how anyone falls for it. BUT… Some are MUCH harder to spot. Some may come off as so kind, caring, sweet, as if they genuinely love you. For their true colors to come out later.

Gold diggers don’t only go after people who are rich. They also go after people who are just trying to make a living as well. Getting them to give you money, get expensive gifts. Guilt trip you if you don’t. But if you call out that you’re doing all this for them and getting little to none in return. Again they will guilt trip you and act like it’s all your fault

Worst thing is that some of those people don't always come as romantic relationships, but in the form of relatives and friends.

I recently had an half-sister who wanted to reconnect and I suspected it was because she wanted money. Luckily doesn't seem to be the case so far.

So there is women that Hypergamous they are not the same as a gold digger. Most women are going to look for a guy who is employed with a good salary, so they can have children with. Unless she is young and in college and just wants to sleep around with random dudes. A hypergamous woman wants money like all women, but they want money for their family life or to live comfortable. She might still care about you maybe you weren't her first choice, but she's going to stay with you because you pay the bills.

Now there is a gold digger which they don't really care about you at all. They just see men ask walking ATMs. They will lead a guy on to get him to pay for free dinner and then just cut them off when they find someone with more money and resources. They are more of a psychopath and don't care about their kids, their family, or their husband. They might even use their kids for money or get her kids to take out loans so she buy more clothes.

So there is Hypergamous where they still have some empathy and they still care, but are still looking for money to get a head in life. Again they still care for their children and their children's success. And then there is the gold digger who is more of psychopath and doesn't care about hurting everyone around hurt to get money for handbags or a new car.

On all truth my own ex boyfriend actually cheated on with this own gold digger who he claimed even though I was there with him on the sudden heart attack of his own father who I had a met his own while family members and his mother at the horrible time. Which this ex boyfriend actually told me I Never was there for him. And that He was lost his spark between him & I. When he started cheating on me this female his own mother never knew he was still lying behind me and my who family even whiley father had passed away from cancer in 2018 . And he actually told I Need to earn My Own Ring 💍 . When that female lied about losing her 4 different 💍.

I think the easier way is to learn to spot very mature people with moral integrity: people who aren't very materialistic and possess great moral integrity. Such people aren't gold-diggers and generally immune to the type of corruption you mentioned.

A MILLION PERCENT! So many modern stay at home moms are as worthless as tits on a boar. The stay at home moms who aren’t like this will even say so. Not all of them there are women who contribute.

A lot of them complain what victims they are to cook or clean. They don’t contribute anyrhint. Their husband comes home after working his ass off so she can get her hair and nails done. And she’s giving him honey do this that or the other. As if it’s HER break and time off.

Are there women who homeschool the kids, do all the cooking, cleaning, the childcare, etc. When I say childcare. A husband should be around and spend time with their kids. But the woman should be doing the majority of the labor
