Navigating the whole boundaries thing in a relationship is a bit like trying to make a perfect cup of coffee in the morning. You know, you want it strong but not too bitter, sweet but not sickly so.

So, let's talk about those invisible lines we draw around ourselves, not with stiff formalities, but just as part of figuring out how to coexist without stepping on each other’s toes too much. It starts with the simple stuff, like understanding that just because I love someone doesn't mean I have to share every single thought or moment with them. Sometimes, I need a night in with my thoughts, or my bad reality TV shows, without feeling guilty about not making it a duo affair.

And then there's the whole tech tangle. My phone, his phone—it's like they're extensions of our brains, right? But just because we can be in constant contact doesn't mean we should. Missing someone is okay; it gives us stuff to talk about besides what we had for lunch.

Speaking of missing, spending time apart is actually pretty healthy. I've got my hobbies, he's got his, and sometimes they don't match up which should be okay.

Money is always a tricky one. Like, who knew takeout could add up so fast? Or that saving for a dream trip could be so rewarding?

Physical closeness is another biggie. Sometimes I'm all for cuddles and affection, and other times, I just need my space. It's not a mood thing, it's a human thing. And it goes both ways. Reading each other and knowing when to lean in or step back keeps things smooth.

When disagreements pop up, because let’s face it, they will, it’s all about how we handle them. No dragging up the past or hitting below the belt.

Finding that balance between sharing our lives with them and keeping our little couple's bubble intact is key. So, yeah, it's a lot like making that perfect cup of coffee. Chef's kiss. xx

emotional boundaries so they respect each other needs n limits

saying no which is when one of em say no then its a no therefore none would force or harass the other

personal space or giving personal time, some need personal time to charge energy

    financial boundaries

    sexual expression or sexual boundaries

communication boundaries thus avoiding to trigger trauma or trigger other person anyway or forcing em to have a conversation about a topic they aren't ok with talking about or not ready for it

Are you psychopathic, narcissistic, or abusive? Then boundaries are things you pee on everyday to get the depraved thing you want. If not, what do you want? Is it inclusive of what they want? Is this mutual? Do you care about each other, what you need and want? What do you not want? Is it inclusive of what they don't want? Is this mutual? Do you care about each other, what you don't want and wish to avoid? Boundaries are just that, inclusive of the other in a healthy way. If it is all you, then it is no relationship, if it is all them, then it is no relationship, if it is us and we agree in a healthy mutual way, then you have a relationship with healthy boundaries. Extremes are red flags that there is no boundary.

Don't touch my shit. Any of it. If there are dishes in the sink after 9pm I'm going to break them.
