I’m sorry that you’ve had that experience. Personally, I’m looking for my life partner. So long as he shows qualities that I want in a husband and in my children, I’m locked in as well. If he doesn’t treat me right, then I emotionally detach and end things. Whereas a man who shows me he loves me, not just tells me, is the one I will hold onto.

I think it’s also a maturity thing; if you’re willing to sacrifice love for a well built facade that has been crafted just to get you into bed a few times, or even just once, you are not emotionally ready for that type of commitment anyways. The person on the other end dodges a bullet
