Yes, that has always been bizarre and somewhat disturbing. I have never had one single celebrity crush in my entire life. It is bad enough when a kid has one, it is nauseating when it is an adult.

Yeah thats unhealthy because it means you fell in love with a fantasy and not the real person. Its common but requires you fantasizing about someone with things they haven't done yet. The brain finds it hard to tell fantasy from reality (You can get angry over a dream or a thoughy).

Best way to shield you (and the method I use myself to prevent loveblindness) is to limit your fantasies of that person to things that already happened between you two. Then you fall in love with the real person.

Not really. A big (or fairly big) part of romantic attraction is about looks or charisma. So it makes sense that we could just see a person and how they look/act is enough to trigger a crush on them.
