I think I might have a crush on a girl I never even talked to. I just returned to school after 1 month away for travelling to my birth country. When I saw her when she entered the classroom I immediately felt attracted to her. I sometimes found myself staring at her during class or during breaks. When I left school for the day I found myself thinking about her but I've been unable to stop thinking about her ever since I returned home

That sounds foreign to me … let me explain I have developed a crush on the opposite sex I see a crush as at least a kind of pseudo emotional attachment together with strong physical or sexual attraction. An example would be the French teacher I had in high school , I was 13 and in my head she was the physical embodiment of love , sex , lust and passion all rolled into one perfect human female. I was briefly but categorically besotted with her Clearly it was never going anywhere though but that’s why it was a “crush”. A brief infatuation with someone un- attainable.

I have also been party to it from the other side where staff members have gotten drunk and then confessed they have a “crush” on me.. of course I’m not going to abuse my position and being honest it’s a little flattering but I’m in-attainable to them..

This class mate however is not out of reach for you , I just believe you’d rather see it that way than approach her and risk the dream or fantasy crumbling before you.. in your head you maybe see her as unattainable?

I think you’re just plainly and simply sexually attracted to her and perhaps additionally with the idea of getting to be with her.. to know her.

So if Crushes are by definition unattainable and brief … are you going to live in your head and let this pass as a crush in your eyes? As it surely will … Or go talk to her and take your shot?

Yes, crushes are normal and will happen when you least expect them. But you have the opportunity to take it further than that. Talk to her and get to know her. At best, it may develop into something. At worst, she won't be interested. But then at least you know.

You can always take the middle road and try to be friends with her, although that's easier said than done if you're the one who has the crush.

Just don't get caught staring at her. Maybe she won't notice, but someone else might.

Completely normal! In fact, Id say that most crushes are felt from afar. I've had guys from high school tell me they used to like me, and I used to admire other guys. I think that unless there's an incentive for me to go and talk to that person (besides the crush), Im pretty comfortable admiring from afar.

Celebrity crushes are also a thing.

Next time you see her in person (if you do), why not try to be friends or simply ask her out? :) The fact that you're still thinking about her I think is good grounds to ask her out, if you want to.

When I was younger, I would develop crushes on people I did not know if they were visually good looking, I was between 11 - 17 years old when I used to get crushes on strangers. When I was 18, I met somebody that I thought was the paragon of virtue and kindness, and after that, I became almost totally indifferent to superficial traits. It was like my love for the virtuous guy was 40 times stronger than my attraction to good looking guys. He rejected me and one year later I got over him.

Super normal but if you actually knew her you may or may not still feel that way.

I don’t think I have had a crush on a guy I didn’t at least hear talking first, this includes celebrities who I saw interacting w people.

I have more often been on the receiving end of this, I even had a guy I had never spoken with say he was in love with me, based ONLY on seeing me walk on campus a few times, which was like, uh thank you but no you are not.

Well yeah, because that is how the attraction starts growing before you act on it. But the longer you let that go on the more your imagination will probably be different than who she really is, and the bigger the disappointment. Better to talk to her on day 1 than waiting till day 100 when she says she has a boyfriend... or that her husband kills people for a living (even tho her friends say she's never been married).

I'd say it's normal yeah. Most people know if they have a crush on someone or at least interest In someone within the first few minutes of meeting them.

Guys being a little more visually influenced and girls being a little more experience influenced. As in how she feels when she's with you.

yea dont get your hopes up i can't say she is gonna hate you but i certainly know she is not fawning over you just yet either and trust me the longer it goes on the worse you will feel if she rejects you or dosent like you back in short bite the bullet and try talking with her now or later its gonna be all hell
