I would straight up ask if he has another girl he wants to be with cause if he has a girlfriend he already mind on there should be no two side chicks. If he not committed to you I wouldn’t bother with him. Some relationships give a second chance and then what happens is the cycle of trusting and mistrust. They say they’ll get better and focus on you but doesn’t happen and you are wasting your time and energy to chase after them and it stresses you out. Or so happens they get their act together and do what is right and put the time and love into you.
If you are in an relationship, your mind should not be thinking about crushes or anyone else but your one and only love. I consider it cheating and if I did that I shouldn’t be in a relationship with my man in a first place.
I heard people my age or many in college even don’t think through decisions in dating and basically go through hookups and all ( being the one at parties always and/or getting high) but I haven’t had that in mind and I believe I found my only one.

No. It is neither normal nor acceptable. In a relationship in which love has been declared; your eyes and heart are supposed to be with your partner only. If you have a crush on someone else, it means that your heart is with that person, not your partner. It means the love you declared for your partner was false.
