Do guys develop crushes on girls they don't know too?

By "don't know" I mean have never actually met and only see and make eye contact with around campus/work/wherever. Obviously it's nothing too serious, since you're only basing it off their looks/what you've observed of them, but I would still consider it a crush since you think about them, look forward to seeing them, and have developed some kind of feelings based off what you know of them.

Every time I have heard of a case of this, it is ALWAYS a girl expressing it about a guy. I have never met a guy who has talked about having a crush on a girl he has never talked to. So do guys do this too?

I do. I remember one girl in particular. Let's call her Mika.

Mika was in a computer class with me. She was brilliant. And pretty. She had black hair that fell halfway down her back that she wore in the cutest ponytail.

Even though we never spoke more than a few words to each other throughout the entire class, I developed a crush on her. I found myself writing about her outside of class, wondering if she were as neat as she seemed.

But as I said, we never got to know each other. It was very much the crush from a distance that you're talking about.

So I do know the feeling. Your head tells you you're in love with love, because you don't know your crush. Your heart tells you to look into their eyes again and imagine how happy you two would be in each other's arms. I think it's natural for a certain type of person.

It depends on the guy. I know I have developed crushes on many girls, some of which I had never been introduced. Regrettably in most cases they did not share the same feelings for me. Did this stop me from developing new crushes? No, I was just more careful with who I shared this information, no sense in being crushed all the time.

'Course they do. For a literary example, look no further than Marius from Les Miserables. He saw a girl and within SECONDS he knew she was his "one true love". As for real life examples, I've had a Turkish penpal at one point - he would write POEMS and express his will to commit SUICIDE over a girl with whom he only exchanged hellos (that's how I met him by the way - he asked a question on Yahoo about how to end his life because this girl doesn't want him; I PMd him to get the idea out of his head).

So yea, it happens.

Yup. Had a crush on a girl back in high school. Had another one not too long ago.
