It doesn't matter if I'm related to either one of them, but since I'd witness their relationship first hand it'd be difficult for me to not intervene if it was toxic, they abused one another, cheated etc. If not then no problem, I'd be happy for them.

He was gonna fall in love with someone AT SOME POINT. And she wasn’t gonna stay young and in the nest to play water fights with you forever. One was gonna grow up and the other was gonna move on, but they can still include you. They certainly won’t ever forget you. They can’t ever replace you.

If they happen to choose each other I’d think the world somehow came full circle that way. They don’t become each other or share stuff you shared with them. If they did it’s all water under the bridge. I’d think the ties just get closer and it makes it easier to hang out together and individually if need be. No need to introduce each other.
