Why do my friends try to hide their affair from me?

I'm pretty sure two people in my circle of friends have an extramarital affair. Both of them are married with kids and one of them is currently building a house for him and his family and he always shows his affair pictures of the progress. I noticed them sneaking away quite frequently and once walked in on them talking to each other in baby voice. Recently I feel like theyve been keeping an eye on me (looking at me from afar, looking at me over their shoulder etc.) or sneaking of when they know I'm distracted etc. Why would they try to hide it ONLY from me and not from others?

If it’s a secret affair…isn’t that what that are going to do … keep this from you and others? 2 things:

The whole point of an affair is that it's a secret. The more people who know about it, the less of a secret it is.

I wouldn't make either of those assumptions at all. Firstly, I wouldn't assume that other people know because that would imply that the group has decided you can't be trusted with that information. I don't believing in viewing something as malicious until I have a reason to

But secondly, I don't think it's smart to assume that they know you know about whatever they're doing. I'm sure they assume you know something is going on, but again; loose lips sink ships. Let's be honest, do you REALLY want to know?
