If he's not creative in any way and can't express himself through it. I connect with creative people the most and if he doesn't have a passion and understanding of any sort of artistic expression (in his own way, y'know), then it's a hard pass. I need someone whom I can ask about my own art and who supports me and vice versa. I want to cheer someone on in their artistic pursuit and exchange things with them.

I'm a certified audio engineer and mobile DJ, I used to do lots of live sound for bands, and I still DJ almost 40 years after starting in 1985/6. I also played sax and drums in the school bands from elementary school through college, plus taught myself keyboards and a bit of bass guitar. I have about 3500 CDs and a very extensive knowledge of musical and band history. For most bands since the 60s, I can tell you where they are from, who their major influences were, and how their music fits on the music genre tree - plus tons of other useless details about them.
