Have you ever came to a realization of something years later, something your spouse or significant other did for you that you didn't realize?

11 years ago, I spent two weeks in the hospital for my wisdom teeth. My wife and I were not really exclusively dating at the time, but she came to visit me in the hospital.

I just learned that my mother attempted to steal my car while I was in there. No joke. It wasn't a special car, but it was special to me, a 1994 Ford thunder bird with a 4.6 liter supercharged v8, black with red interior and a sun roof. My wife (girlfriend at the time) refused to let my mom have the keys, even after my mom swore up and down that she had permission. I have no memory of this cause I was in emergency surgery at the time.

The realization is that my wife has been protecting me since before we were even fully together. She never told me about it cause I never asked. I gotta figure out something special to do for her.
