How brutal should people be towards cheaters?

im not proud of it but i cheated in the past. Never physically but still. I would talk to a guy was in love with his personality talk till 3 am. I told my ex though that I have a crush. He forgave me, but I still dont forgive him for that. Later on, I cheated on him worse with a fuck boy (i thought he was a nice guy). I used to send him nudes. That guy did me hella dirty (ended up cheating on me then cheating on his girlfriend with me it was fucking messed up) and I really truly think he was my karma and all the guys who hurt tf out of me afterwards I think it was all karma for my bad deed. In my defense, my ex at the time we were long distance (2.5 hours) and he never visited me. I only visited him. I could only come once a month bc i was in school. He was in school too. Even then one time he was like oh im hanging with the boys like wtf he wasn't giving me attention. And yes I was an attention seeking whore. But in the end, i NEVER should have done that. He didn't deserve that. he did love me even though he was lowkey a dead beat and lazy ass boyfriend. He still didn't deserve that I should've broken up with him before I did that. (He never found out) In the end though, I got my karma a MILLION times. With a million different guys i got hurt again and again guy. I truly think that was karma and cheaters get their karma handed back to them. Bad things happen to bad people. I'm not the same person who cheated on him. Karma broke me karma changed me. And I truly think I will be good and fair to my future spouse. I would never ever do that.

my situation is different truly though. dated for so long but only saw each other 1-2 x a year. he hated phone calls so we never talked.
