Because true love isn’t happy roses. It’s sacrificing one’s wants for another’s happiness. this doesn’t imply it’s unrequited. That’s not the same thing.
I was very close to a girl- she was very close to me. I wanted to be with her everyday. We saved seats on the bus for one another. I comforted her when she was scared or sad. She would tease me with little gifts and pranks. She told me I made her feel differently. She said she was confused in her feelings because she didn’t believe true love existed. For complex reasons, we could not be together. We both knew that. And the more we kept pushing to be together, against the obvious odds; the more I saw it hurting her. She always felt men just wanted her for sex. She had a low opinion of herself. I saw her give herself away to men who didn’t love or value her. Treated her like a piece of meat. What’s the point, she’d say to me. Men don’t care for anything anyway. So one day I told her I love her and I walked away. I didn’t want to end our relationship because it was so important to me. But I wanted her to know what real love looked like- even if it meant never seeing, talking, or touching her ever again.
Because until you die for her she won't believe in the love. And the moment you die it's all you will truly share together. that's not all women/men. true love exists but it's rare
Ah, diving into the emotional rollercoaster of love stories! They often lean into the sad spectrum because the highs and lows of love make for compelling storytelling. It's that heart-pounding blend of euphoria and heartbreak that keeps us coming back for more. The struggles, sacrifices, and sometimes the star-crossed nature of these tales resonate deeply, teaching us about resilience, growth, and the bittersweetness of love.
As for me, my profession gifts me a front-row seat to a myriad of love stories, from the ones that make you believe in fairy tales to those that remind us love can be a tough teacher. Personally, my journey has been more about learning from the small setbacks and misunderstandings, which, thankfully, haven't shaped into a sad story but rather lessons in love and communication. The key? Keep flirting with love, regardless of the plot twists!

I think it's human nature to dwell on the negative side of things more. Look at the news, it's laced with bad things that happen to people and most are glued to to the TV to watch it everyday.
I like the positive side of things, nice to see a relationship work out for someone and them happy.
Because all true stories end in death.
