Why is a past ex boyfriend texting a married woman under different phone numbers?

Over the years, at seldom times I received greetings from him from a different number. I've blocked him on all the other numbers. His messages are short with an ''hello my friend, how are you doing, talk to me'' or ''Hi, this is your ex boyfriend Noah. Come on don't ignore me''.

I really though that he would finally leave me alone but he isn't. After many months of no message from him, yesterday he sent this text:

''Hello Cindy my friend. I see you're married for 2 years. That doesn't mean we can't be friends. Call me. Talk to me. Please. I miss you''.

It came from a restricted number. He keeps changing numbers and sends texts after certain time. I've blocked him for several years already but he has been stalking my social medias. Why the hell is an ex boyfriend texting me, a married woman under different numbers? Why won't he leave me alone?

He clearly has some motive to befriend you, or remain in your life / keep you in his life. It sounds like he has a severe attachment issue as he continues to ignore your requests of not texting / not remaining in contact, and ignore being blocked.
I recommend 2 things:
1) block him on social media, or limit your public posts to "private" so he cannot see / follow you any longer. If it's on Insta, put your profile to "private" and do not accept any random adds, as it could be him.
2) change your phone number, this will eliminate his chance of contacting you completely, once you have a new contact number, you can provide it to the people who are in your life.
3) You CAN contact authorities to create a harassment report, as this person isn't leaving you alone. This is an option too, although it will take time and you'll need evidence to support your legal claim of harassment / stalking behaviour causing emotional distress.

I hope you change your number, it's the easiest way and he won't have any way to obtain your new number, so he will no longer be able to contact you or reach you going forward.

If my wife was getting calls like that from her ex, she would had me the phone and say, here you deal with this I've had enough!
I would politely tell him she didn't want him to call again! At first it would be polite anyway.
