I met my wife at a shinedown concert. Due to an accident of fate she was seated next to me. A bad winter storm broke out during the concert. She had to drive 4 hours home and it was too dangerous. I offered her my bed while I would crash on my couch. She stayed with me 2 days. We exchanged numbers, she went home, and we stayed in touch. Two weeks later my damn wisdom teeth almost killed me. I ended up in emergency surgery, and then ICU for a day, followed by 5 days in the hospital. During that time my wife drove 4 hours to the hospital and visited me three times. She also stayed the weekend with me when I was released "to make sure you're okay" her words. I knew at that point I was going to marry her. We have been married 9 years and together 11 total. It was her kindness and worry over me that absolutely won my heart.
