I absolutely despise arguing, so I tend to just ask for all the points of the argument to be racked up so we can deal with the problem quickly and systematically before a migraine sets in for the day. My SO would already know this and either be helpful in keeping the points structured and logical or be cruel/toxic in dragging things out into a meandering mess (the way my ex did) to get me to cave in just to win an argument … which would then be very telling about the direction of the relationship itself.
