Are fathers more logical than mothers when it comes to a daughter's relationship?

My father is more straight to the point. He's ok with my current fiance and my mother is stuck on how great my 2nd ex boyfriend was. She's focusing on how he was the only man that gave her a gift on Mother's Day and for her b-day once, how he was a gentleman, took me out to many dates and other things. She said ''he might have had his issues but he was the best''.

Meanwhile my father gives him ZERO credit, instead a big fat F. He is focusing on the present time, on the guy that's giving me commitment.
