Why do guys that I clearly don’t express any interest in still ask me out?

It’s not the first time this has happened to me—from people that I was not very close with or barely even talked to to people that I only just sort of kinda started becoming friends with to people that I clearly expressed that I didn’t like them/was disinterested in them. One guy even confessed after I told him about the relationship that I just recently ended.

I’m not trying to brag. It’s just tiring that I’ve had more people that I’m not interested in ask me out than actual (successful) relationships.

And how can I find a man that is actually decent/competent, not a douchebag, and worth dating/willing to be committed to the relationship?
