Detrimental, mostly. The reason is because it has to always be "HAPPY!" and "WONDERFUL!" and "I MARRIED THE BEST PERSON EVERRR!" even if things are not going well. All of a sudden, the pics stop and the "perfect" couple is getting divorced. If they spent more time on the actual relationship and the struggles and less time pretending everything is ideal and perfect, they might actually have a shot at staying together long-term.
Social media mostly projects the image we want others to have of us, not who we really are. It's marketing for people and their lives. Ironically, people might actually be more real on G@G (where no one knows them) than they are IRL, where everyone (they know) does.
I think some pics are OK, but since I don't bother with FB, Instagram, Twitter, etc. it isn't something I would do. I've never had an account on any of those, it would stress me to death. G@G is fun, though, and so is Pinterest.
Damnit Potts. I would've given you MHO here. I literally gave them MHO like 2 minutes ago 😑
@HawkPerception Sorry! I didn't see it until now. So weird. :( But it's good to know you liked it! :D
I've been loving yours and DishLady's opinions for a while now
@HawkPerception DishLady is awesome. She seems like a neat person and she's sharp as a whip.
Agree to agree 😂
@HawkPerception OK, I did it. Go check it out! :D
Way ahead of ya. Was reading it as I got the 2nd Ms. Potts notification 😁
Oh yeah. It's become an obsession to post everything, to stalk everything, to make social media mean EVERYTHING... My goodness...
It can be to the point where your life is so public you don't share much intimacy anymore. A photo here and there is not bad but you don't need to show everyone what you do together all the time... there's no privacy then.
Thanks 🍻
I know one thing and that it's not for me. Shoo social media!
Having said that, in the past girls have avoided me for it. It's like the girls are hearing "I have a million dollars in debt" from me.

Life was probably better without social media, it's easy to pretend everything is okay on social when in reality you could have so many relationship problems and most of the time social media is what causes relationship problems to begin with. Majority of the time I keep my relationship off social.
Agreed
It was much better in simpler times
Detrimental since most the time it is fake but also put yourselves in the public eye, and there will always be people who want to steal something that looks good or valuable.
I agree detrimental because SHIT there’s a lot of relationships you think is going perfect until mfs break up and you’re like 😳.
Plus I have a friend that as soon as she post her relationship everything goes downhill. I’ve seen it happen to her multiple times 🤣
I lean towards detrimental. People post what they want others to see. And that is usually the good stuff, and only the good stuff. It's a fake image of reality.
I don't think it's really needed. You can have fun pictures of yourselves together without posting it.
Who cares about that! Have you seen what is happening Palestine.
Things are happening all over the planet. Should we stop living because things that are out of our control are happening?
It depends on why you're posting couple stuff
