So, after having some answers from men and women, here's my own opinion about the differences:

Boyfriend & girlfriend's rights:

1. Loyalty
2. Trust
3. Respect

Husband & wife's rights:

1. Loyalty
2. Trust
3. Respect
4. Official family under one family name
5. Access to sex and intimacy without permission
6. The right to have children
7. The right to be responsible of each other
8. The right to access each other belongings
9. The right to have a say in abortion for men!

The difference is if you don't even have kids with them nor shared assets, there is really nothing (outside of feelings) bonding you in a boyfriend/girlfriend relationship. You only have a verbal agreement to be exclusive to that person and can walk away at any moment, any time without having to deal with division of assets and whatever other process needed in a divorce.

When they are your husband/wife, you guys aren't focusing on going out on dates nor the early unmarried stages. You're already sharing assets and if you have kids, then it's more about providing for the family, helping out with the bills, sharing an actual life together, have legal rights to make medical decisions if they're in the hospital, etc. You guys aren't dating anymore and it isn't just a verbal agreement to be exclusive. You've been publically and legally recognized as a union.

I've already stated it. Depending on the location or state, if you're just boyfriend and girlfriend, you have no right to make legal, medical decisions for them if they were involved in an accident or had a surgery. With marriage, you can also include them in your same insurance, file joint income tax returns, get public assistance benefits, making burial arrangement should your spouse die, housing benefits, etc. Those are some that I could think of that you wouldn't get if you're just a woman's boyfriend.

If the woman doesn't want to have sex at that moment (ex: tired after taking away of the kids or from working too hard) but he forces it on her then it's rape. Just because they're married doesn't mean there aren't any boundaries.

A boyfriend doesn't have the right to have sex with girldfriend, she can say no and move on without any explanation but with her husband she can't do this, since she's his wife, she shares her body with her man and he have access to it anytime he wants but as you have mentioned is someday she was very tired and or ill, she will tell him no but ofc she will explain to him why and will make it up for him later, do you agree?

Marriage differs from unmarried relationships in these manners:

Your personal identification document now says "married". The government knows this now and can impose more shitty things on you.

If the marriage ceases to be, the one with the penis (if the other is the one with a vagina) will get heavily financially penalized, gets his assets confiscated and the process for papa government to say "yep. You're broken up. We acknowledge this now" can take months or a year.

What a waste of resources to tell others including those, that have no business in your personal relationships, that you paired up with someone. But then again, people share everything on social media.

#9 - Men, if you don't want to be a father, get yourselves snipped. Women, if you've had enough babies or don't want any ever, get your tubes tied. There should NEVER be a conversation between married couples that sounds like " I accidently got pregnant, what do we do?" Even if you're both taking precautions, you should be prepared for that 1% chance however bad the timing is.

#5 - I don't care what your country says is the legal status, or what your religion says is acceptable, forcing your partner to have sex when they don't want it is disgusting behavior not worthy of marriage.
