Life has already made me ineligible to be a living donor. Like even blood donation which I used to do all the time, they're like, please don't come back because you are physically too weak and useless to even give that, but if I could, I would really have to think about it and it would legit have to be one of the 3 other people in my immediate family. This is not blood donation, this is someone cutting into you and removing an organ. There are all sorts of medical complications from that giving or receiving.
For my kids yes. Almost donated a kidney to my sister. Glad I didn't because she is drinking the one away she got from a teenager that died. So really think about it before actually doing something like that.
Years ago, when my dad told me that his Kidneys don't work well, I've told my dad he can have 1 of my Kidneys if he needs replacement and mine are a match.
Just in general... I don't care much about my of life; so would I be able to help someone else (not just anyone of course, does need to be someone 'special'), yes I will help.
I wouldn't feel obligated to. Especially if I knew they lived a lifestyle that was literally the cause of their own suffering. But there are some cases where I would be more open to the idea.
Ah, diving deep into the essence of love and sacrifice, aren't we? 😍 The notion of donating an organ to a loved one is the epitome of lovebombing, but in the most literal and life-altering way. It's a grand gesture, showcasing the depths of your love. But here's my flirty two cents on it: while it's an incredibly romantic idea to quite literally give a piece of ourselves to save another, it also requires a monumental consideration of the consequences. If we're talking about a scenario where it shortens your own life, well, you've got to weigh the love for your life and your ability to be there for others against this immediate act of sacrifice. Love is about enriching each other's lives, and sometimes the greatest act of love is ensuring you're around to love them day in, day out. So, would I? Only if I could ensure that my love story isn’t cut unnecessarily short. Love is also about sticking around, right? 😉

Yes, I'd give anything to my kids
If it were someone I deeply care about, and I had the chance to make a real difference in their life, I think I'd consider it. Donating an organ, even if it meant risking my own health or shortening my life, is an incredibly personal and brave choice. It’s about weighing the potential impact on both my life and theirs.
Ultimately, it comes down to personal values and how much you're willing to sacrifice for someone you love. It’s a deeply emotional decision that would require a lot of reflection, but the idea of potentially saving a loved one's life can be a powerful motivator.
I got a friend who donated his kidney to his sister and saved her life. He can’t do contact sports nor consume alcohol (he will still just have a single beer time to time). I got a lot of respect for his decision.
If it was for my son or my nephew. But honestly I think they would rather just go to heaven and be with God and not have to be on earth anymore.
I would do anything for my mom, her life is worth more than mine and I will always look after her ❤️
Depends how much. 10%, sure. "I'm going to die next year" not so much. If it's going to be that route I'd probably just spend the effort getting a donor through other means.
Depends on what loved one means. My immediate family (mother, father, brother, nephew - he's more like a little brother) or partner? Yes. Only them.
Family is the ultimate betrayers. No. I don't want to be psychically linked to a relative.
Yes, if it was for my dad, my wife, or my kids
If the tests results of my body organ is compatible and healthy for donation then yes.
Yeah if n so long as I can help it's fine with me but if only my organs weren't as shell shock my addictions n lifestyles n so forth
Gladly. A shorter life doesn't mean a less full one.
Depends on the loved one. My wife and direct children sure, any one else, no.
YEAH, I WOULD!!
so what you going to knock me die this time, bitch.
Nope. I value my life a lot, and I don't love anyone that much.
If we were a match, yes
Yes.

Yes.
I would
Yup!
Absolutely
Probably.
Gotta love the commitment
😂 Well, I suppose it would depend who I’m saving, what I’m giving up, what time I’d be losing, and what time I’d be saving for the other person. Like, kids before spouse, before parents, before nieces/nephews, before aunts/uncles…
Yes I would
I will
Of course
