Do you say good morning and good night to your partner every day?

I’m curious about what other couples do. I try to get into the habit of saying good morning and good night every day with my boyfriend to remind him that I’m thinking about him from the time I wake up to the time I go to bed. I find that if he doesn’t say it, I feel like I miss him painfully but if he does say it, I still miss him but I feel a sense of comfort. And if I don’t say it, I feel like my day hasn’t started/ended fully. Let me know your thoughts!

Do you and your boyfriend live together? If not, I assume you are talking about texting him every morning and every night, and not actually talking? How long have you been dating? Doing this every morning and every night too early in a relationship might be perceived as clingy or smothering. Once you are texting several times every day, it will probably be better received. If you are living together, developing such habits is acceptable to many people, but for me, saying things out of habit is rather meaningless. I go to sleep with my arms around my wife every night and I massage her neck and shoulders before we drift off. There is no need to say good night because I have shown her my love by my actions. But. . . she is 61 and I am 60; what works for us may not work for you and your boyfriend.

in fact, I usually say good morning, good day, good night as a formality.. with strangers, or at work, stuff like that

or online... but I rarely do it with friends or family, partners

I always say good morning with everyone I meet in the morning even though I don’t know them, will always greet them because that’s how we raised.
