For context my boyfriend is from a different country, where they speak a different language that I don't know and the only friends I have there are his for now. I'm also very shy and have a hard time talking in big groups. His friend keeps glancing at me often when we are out either just the three of us or in a bigger group, and every time we meet he makes an effort to talk to me or at least interact in some way, I consider him a great friend. His other friends don't do that and I have a hard time talking to them. I want to believe it's just my imagination but I've caught his gaze so many times now. I told my boyfriend that and gave him examples and he didn't really react much other than become thoughtful for a few hours and now it's like I didn't even tell him. I really like the guy as a friend, do you think it would just pass eventually or maybe that he just feels bad for me for the lack of friends and that's why he does it?
