Trivial, in the sense that it does not require more thoughts, like he saw a landscape painting, yeah, good one, end of story. Without more context, I assume your guy did not compare you to a picture of a girl, this seems to be your imagination drawing comparisons.

Yeah its normal to feel bad, I personally would have said 'why are you checking out your friends wife?' but it's not good to take stuff like that internally but you should speak up so he knows not to bring crap like that up in front of you.
