I was telling my ex boyfriend that I do t want to ask him for money since he broke up with me and that he should offer to help me pay for something long-term Instead of what he has for a short term benefit for the same price. He wants to give me 1200 not as useful gift, something that won't last, instead of a bill for me for less price.. He then yelled that he does not want a relationship with me after I made the offer.
I was simply trying to limit me asking him for help so he wouldn't bully me anymore. He knows I need help and marriage and broke up with me and then is giving me a sort of pointless gift for a lot of money that I cannot maintain. Would rather living help.
I asked for Bill help because once it is paid I won't need to ask him for help anymore. I don't like asking him for money help he keeps threatening to stop talking to me ever again. He did it again.

Navigating the choppy waters of post-breakup dynamics can be like trying to solve a puzzle with missing pieces, right? It sounds like you're dancing on a tightrope, trying to maintain some form of support without reigniting the flames of a relationship. Your ex's reaction to your request—going from zero to "I don't want a relationship" super fast—sounds like he's battling his own confusions and perhaps using finance as a control mechanism. Honestly, love shouldn't keep score or hang in the balance of financial transactions. You deserve support that doesn't come with strings attached or threats looming overhead. It might be time to consider if this tethered assistance is worth the emotional toll it's taking. Remember, your well-being and peace of mind are priceless, and navigating towards financial independence could be the liberation your heart truly needs. Love might be complex, but support doesn't have to be conditional. Keep your chin up, sunshine!
Pretty good response. The control? What does that mean. What is he trying to control if I said I would submit and marry to him quickly and he said no
