I think a partnership should be a partner ship. Some people confuse fetishes with real life responsibility. They should seek therapy, not Romantic subordinates.
I would never end up in that kind of a relationship. There’s nothing appealing to me than somebody trying to control another person and I don’t care what kind of lip service you give to it— it’s for care compassion or nope if you care about somebody, respect them if you respect them, respect their views and you’re able to, discuss problems and solve problems jointly that’s what conflict resolution skills are for.
In a partnership ideally everybody would have everyone’s best interest at heart there is no excuse for one person to dominate decisions. Of course, there will be many situations where one person is more skilled or educated or experienced on the matter, and that should be taken into consideration, but that will change constantly.
There’s no such thing as one person, always knowing more about everything or always having more wisdom about everything and honestly between women and men. I’ve no idea why anybody would assume that men are wiser. That is ridiculous.
I think people end up in that kind of relationship where respect is completely imbalanced because some guys like I said have that fetish and Have difficulty distinguishing between reality and fantasy …They have some insecurity and need their ego appeased and if their are woman willing to fill they role those men will see that as confirmation it is “natural”
What about all the relationships that are based on a partnership that work very well— those won’t be considered natural because it’s just not what they want to think of us natural. It’s an emotional conclusion of ostensibly empirical knowledge.
I think many women or men in the case of homosexual relationships- acquiesce to this arrangement if they feel like there’s something to gain or if they have no choice as in certain cultures.. so they will just go along with it, whether they believe in it or not. Some may convince themselves it’s best but that doesn’t mean that there’s anything Inherently virtuous about it or intrinsically “human”about it.
Listen women have to deal with a lot of stuff in life and they have to go through a lot and be very tough to get through life.,, women were born, weak or inferior or subordinate, civilization never would’ve thrived. A Species with fundamentally intrinsically weak counterparts would die off. It’s just an impractical and irrational outlook that hopefully is on its way out.
Still not disagreeing with a take, damn I try and yet...
Oh I know, you wrote a double comma near the end, that I DISAGREE WITH !
@Maybe_Maybe_not 😂 fair enough 🙂↕️
Well, that's a very good question ! The thing is I can read visuals and speeches without clinging on a detailed meaning, but an overall tone instead. In that case, I chose to trust the general tone since I didn't understand the specific meaning of the double arrow emoji 😅
@Maybe_Maybe_not I have no idea what it means… maybe an indecisive or unreliable 🤷🏻♀️
Someone always coming and going. No clue 🤯
Or, do you like elevators maybe? xD
The vast majority of people alive today and in the past are physically inferior or mentally inferior to someone and yet civilization and societies survived.
Usually because people care for their families, their elderly parents and their children. Stronger more capable people tend to have the moral fortitude to care and protect the ones they love, that is civilization
Definition of Civilization is way more complex in its implications than your take at it.
What you're talking about is family unit, morality and legacy. These concepts are constantly evolving over time also.
@Maybe_Maybe_not nope, they sure don’t evolve, they only tend to go through periods of regression in certain societies, the truth never changes
@Oncewildtwiceburned That's not truth, that's agenda lol
It's quite important to understand the difference here xD
That man is obviously insecure and has profound control issues. These are the kinds of men that will make your life a living hell.
I view relationships as partnership , we are a team working together , following the same boundaries that we set. together. If one of us crosses those boundaries? , we either try to fix what’s broken together or go our separate ways. We can’t force someone to love us , all we can do is treat someone the same way we want to be treated in return. If they choose to walk away? , let them go , because we can’t force someone to love us and stay with us , you can express your feelings to them and tell them to please not leave , but you can’t force them not to leave. The only time control is acceptable , is in the bedroom , I am more dominant but I like being submissive as well from time to time , and I prefer Submissive girls’ to be honest with you
That man is arrogant and has a low opinion of women. He sees himself as a benevolent dictator. But only his overinflated ego makes him think that he is wise.
A man and woman should have equal respect and admiration for each other. They should be able discuss things, consider each other's points of view, and reach mutually agreeable decisions.
Women are as smart as men. And they are no more morally weak than men.
If one doesn't trust each other, then they may be projecting their lack of morality onto their partner.

In a relationship there's no such thing you are both leaders you do what's best are you say what's best for the both of you but you cannot control anybody in life and once you start doing that the other person should end it right away
There is leadership in relationship because both partners can't be in same age range
Age does not make you a leader. Common sense wisdom and respect and caring makes you a leader I'm not dating right now but if I was if she wants to be the leader she can be the leader
Until it's time for me to be.
. I don't mind being the leader... If you're talking about you want somebody to guide you or control you for me that would only happen in role play I would say things to help you out in real life but I would never control you that's your job and be the best you can be and that's the way it should work you both work together until there comes a moment in time where a leader needs to step up and say wait wait a minute and I would do that in a heartbeat
It can be either, or a bit of both. It depends on the specific type of "leadership".
Yes sure
If you have a relationship that has responsibilities, such as children, you need to have someone who can make the final decision. Otherwise they won't be able to work together when it's difficult. Exactly how many times that final authority is used is up to the couple, and each couple has different ways of operating. It's common that this authority can be split in different domains, where each has the final say in that domain particular to them. However there is a final say that trumps all, and that is usually the man's prerogative. But he has to earn the woman's trust in order for this to work
Some people probably confuse romance and chain of command? 😂
Why anyone involved in romance would want leadership? Be it woman or man, doesn't make sense at all. Kids need guidance to grow, marines need leadership to operate.
But lovers? Just why?
No leadership in relationship where you all have kids together is doomed.
You have to raise the kids together. Where one parent goes while the other one is busy should be decided on together right? You both aren’t going to agree on what is best correct? Therefore there will be drama without leadership, this drama will cause hell. So, if leadership isn’t something you want then you’re the boss I guess and the leader of no one, at least not any adult. Welcome to broken home road. Mom is taking daddy’s business down along with his life and kids because of an argument.
If you all don’t have kids, who cares, no leadership is necessary unless someone wants to be led and the other doesn’t mind doing thay for them. But yeah, a guy is the one expected to take a hit physically ti protect his family so yeah he should be allowed to lead his family if you all share biological kids together.
I simply see (healthy) leadership in the relationship as being in the driver' seat.
The driver directs the car, but the passegger should have a say in the direction and suggest which road to take.
My wife and I see like that, and we do switch on the driver' seat depending on the circumstances.
Guiding most of the time. Commanding I'd say rather than controlling occasionally. Sometimes needed.
Trust is entirely unrelated but is confidence in his decisions.
Men insist on authority as there can only be one captain. Ying is chaos and Yang is order.
More so guidance, but Ash the biggest issue that comes with this in the relationship is that if the man isn't the one leading, his woman will see him as weak, and a pushover worthy of no respect. It builds subconscious resentment.
I understand that’s a popular thought, but I wonder how many people who believe this are looking at it from the lens of someone who’s actually been in one relationship for 10+ years. So many people have an unrealistic idea of what leadership looks like. Who are we measuring respect from?
Are you the individual with the 10+ years in this example that you are asking us to look at it from?
Either way, others have already made it a point here in the comments. Women these days want the power a lot more in relationships and it stems from "men not knowing what to do" or "men are terrible leaders."
It is never enough for a lot of women these days they demand everything to the point it becomes "do as I say" and if a man does that, women grow to resent them because now they are doing the "How high?" Jump to meet these standards only for her to lose respect for him, see him as a pushover and will in turn search for another person who matches it and the cycle repeats.
Women never seem to be happy with whatever a man tries to do, even if he is a good and solid one.
If I am your leader then you are my subordinate. I don't like such arrangements because I want an equal who can stimulate my mind.
Leadership isn't about control. Leading in a healthy relationship is usually done by either at different times depending on the situation, often to lead you need to follow.
Control. A relationship is a partnership. Women these days seem to think it's about leadership. Which is just downright sad.
Probably because women want power and not a partnership
I'd make the final decisions on anything important. If she doesn't like it the relationship ends.
Smart man
Sometimes it looks like I'm entering a spatio-temporal breach, can you explain this phenomenon?
That’s just the way it is when I am with a guy. The man is the leader and dominant and I am submissive
If I'm expected to be the bread winner and protector then I'm the boss hands down.
There is nothing worse then a selfish, mouthy woman who starts violent conflicts with other men for you to deal with.
In a relationship decisions should be made jointly, not by one partner alone
Well it depends on what it's definitely a guys job to keep the family safe though...
I'm not a douchebag like that
