I'm in the process of moving and getting married and my family is trying to control my life. They know when we move forward they won't have access in me and my mates life with all that dysfunction and toxicity they bring. My family has done nothing in my life that has benefited my life and success in supporting me like graduating from college and getting a home... it's always negativity and drama with them - they treat me like an outcast or the black sheep of the family. My mate wants nothing to do with them meeting them - them attending or wedding - etc
