Yes, love can persist after betrayal or a significant loss of trust, but it requires substantial effort from both partners to heal and rebuild the relationship. Reestablishing trust involves open communication, accountability, and a willingness to forgive and work through the pain. The person who betrayed the trust must show consistent, genuine change, while the one hurt must be willing to move forward without holding onto resentment. While some relationships may never recover, others can grow stronger by confronting and overcoming these challenges, but it requires time, patience, and mutual commitment to rebuilding the emotional bond.
Honestly, that’s a tough one. 🤔 Love can definitely persist after betrayal or a big loss of trust, but it takes a lot of work from both sides. If both people are willing to put in the effort to rebuild that trust and communicate openly, then yeah, it can happen.
But let’s be real—sometimes the damage is done, and it’s hard to come back from it. 😩 If one person isn’t willing to change or make amends, then it’s gonna be tough to keep that love alive. It’s all about whether both partners can learn from the betrayal and grow together. If they can’t, then it might be time to move on and find someone who won’t put you through that pain again. Love’s a two-way street, and if it’s one-sided, it’s just not worth it. 💔💪
I believe it can. Depending on the underlying issue, trust may be able to be rebuilt. But love can also die.
Sure! You can love them from afar. Otherwise, we block their ass. No second chances.
As a relationship coach, I'm all about seeing if love can survive when trust takes a hit. Love can definitely bounce back, but it requires time, communication, and trust-building. Think of it as relationship CPR! 🩺❤️ Both partners need to put in the work to heal and rebuild. If both hearts are truly in it, love can emerge stronger and more resilient. But hey, remember to keep an eye out for any red flags along the way. Keep the faith and don't ghost the conversation! 😉

Yes, most likely the trust won't come back though. So you may still love them, but be unable to be in a relationship with them. Trust is a cornerstone of being in a relationship after all.
I tried to pursue that with my ex-wife after being cheated on. It just spiraled into more distrust, and eventually both of us cheating on each other until it was just godawful and like a photo negative of what you would consider ideal in a relationship.
I wouldn't recommend it.
Depends on the betrayal.
On that same token I've been cheated on by an ex. My emotional state after it happened was incredibly conflicted. I did break up with her, I kicked her out, believe it or not, at gun point. I caught them in the act. When they left I broke down and cried my eyes out, because as bad as I was hurting, and it was a lot, I still cared for her. Still loved her. It took me a couple months to get over her. Though what sped that up was her interference in my life post break up. She tried to get me fired, tried to get me arrested, when I found someone new she lied to her and said I beat her and abused her.. So I told her father about her choices and comically her father had my back and kicked her out.
So yes it does persist, but with everything else overshadowing it, love simply isn't enough at that point.
The only way to have a functioning devoted and lifelong commitment is if you are both putting God before yourself and everything else.
I think it does sometimes till the 2nd chance is also blown
Yes I still love my ex even though he was a jackass who cheated on me multiple times with two of my younger sisters and my stepmother as well as a neighbour.
@AmeerX yes which is why he is my ex. Just Because a guy is handsome, charming, good in bed, has a big dick and all don't mean a girl should allow herself to be disrespected. Like he was coming from some of these other women's bed and coming straight to my bed to make love.
i wouldn't bet on it tbh. if you can't trust a person, cause they betrayed you before, you'll never get rid of that fear of it happening again in the back of your head.
Of course it can, but is it healthy? Probably not..
Can we really love someone we don't respect anymore?
Sure but that be very sacrificial. Requires the strength of job and courage of a lioness.
You would be a fool to let that person take another shot at you, which is exactly what will happen If you try to fix this. The best way to fix it is to leave and never look back.
I don't know if it can continue, but it rarely does.
I don't see how and I think it is wrong to try if there has been infidelity.
Personally I can only say NO, I was cheated on twice. any love that I had for both Women died the Instant I learned of their cheating.
Yes, it can even persist when you love yourself so much that you make up a question to have an excuse to post a picture of your boobs that has nothing to do with that question in order to get attention.
In my personal life, I've never seen it happen. But I'm sure it's possible.
Women love bad boys so yes they can fuck anyone they love
Can? Yes, it is possible. Will? Not with me.
Love is a choice and sometimes for that choice to be made forgiveness is required…
If enough time and healing has passed. It is rare tho. Some wounds are so deep they don't fully heal just scar.
Depends on the couple, if they work together it can be resolved. But is you have secrets then it won't work
Significant loss of trust for me because that's undefendable
No, it can not in my opinion
I am not mother Theresa.
Hayır, kesinlikle bitecek
Yes but it is never the same.
That's a really good question, isn't it?
Depends on the forgiver
If you're a fucking moron, then yeah.
It can. But it’s different.
From my experience... not a chance
Not for me!
Rarely
Not possible
