I would bet the far far majority of men have no clue when it comes to "being romantic". I try and try and come up short when I was married. But then I do things that I think are just "things you do", and I would get credit for being "romantic". But it wasn't about that at all.

If women want romantic, they need to spell it out.

This is not how romanticism works because the term means everything and nothing, as the meaning change depending on who you talk to and how you relate personally to the term.

This is not gender-based because idealized views strike all genders at random, or not really random because idealism is very much explainable when looking closer at one's life, identity, how they have been built in relation to upbringing, family, care and love.

This is not about long-term because long-term thinking can be seen as either very materialistic or very idealistic depending on individual views at it.

on one hand you seem to be describing simps but they don't think long-term, they only think short-term and have terrible vetting strategies for vetting women
