I think you likely have a fantasy vision how romantic men were in the past. I am not trying to argue that men are romantic. Just that... this has not undergone some big change over time. Women complained about this same thing a century ago.

Harsh truth. Many if not most guys really only care about sex. Since so many women are willing to give that with very little effort, there is no real reason to put in a lot of effort.

Some still are. I know several romantic types, including my husband, who is still as romantic today as he was when we met 15 years ago.
Don't judge it based on the men that troll this website, they are single for a reason.
