Women can say that they want romantic men, and some of them can actually believe that they do, but their ACTIONS communicate very loudly and clearly to men that they don't. Romantic men rarely get women, and if they do, they rarely keep them, and are almost never respected. Strong, demanding, self-centered men get the women, and the women RESPECT those men, and work hard to make them happy.
Let's use Will Smith and Jada Pinket as a good example. Will may be a wealthy celebrity with Hollywood clout, but he's also a genuine nice guy and a romantic guy. Will started planning Jada's 40th birthday party 2 years in advance. He made a point to learn everything she liked and get it for her. He hired Mary J. Blige to sing for her, and invited all of her friends. Two years of work and planning and thinking about her, and a considerable amount of money, to give her the most special birthday ever, and what happened? She insulted him for it, in front of their friends, and told him it was all about HIM showing off and feeding his own ego. No thank you, no appreciation, just an insult.
About 15 years ago, a buddy of mine got married. He'd been working on his dream car - an old Chevy Chevelle SS - for about 4 years at the time, turning an old rust bucket into a beautiful resto-mod. About a year in, she starts complaining that they don't "do anything" - they have date nights nearly every week, and occasional weekend trips to nice places, but she still feels like he's not making a real effort to take her places. He spends the next year working 20 hours a week on the car to finish it, and when it's finally done, he sells it to fund a 2-week vacation in Paris, because that was her dream. But she complained the entire trip - the airport was a hassle, the plane ride was too long, the hotel wasn't nice enough, the lines for attractions was too long, it was too hot and too cold, etc. My buddy had sold his dream car that he'd invested thousands of hours of work into, only to have her make them both miserable for two weeks. And it's all his fault.
Yeah, these were both "big gesture" examples, but I've seen it happen at all levels and have had it happen to me too. Guys try to be romantic - something that doesn't come easily or natural for most of us - and too often get no appreciation for it, and sometimes even get punished for it. What do you think that teaches men?1019 Reply- +1 y
I feel like my mom is this way too why does it have to be like that that’s sad. Also I don’t think that all women are this way
- +1 y
@pink_and_inlove You're absolutely right - not all women are this way - but a lot of them are. You've seen it yourself with your mom.
Men see it too, all the time, and they experience it first-hand, and it teaches them that there's little upside to being romantic, and plenty of downside. As long as that's true, romance will be hard to find. - +1 y
I’m not this way
- +1 y
Great answer! The time I decided to stop dropping the nice guy and romantic guy within me, I started to get a lot more success with a variety of women. Women have proven time and time again not only to myself, but to so many men out there that they don't want someone who is romantic. The "romantic" man they think about are the Ryan Gosling looking ones lmfao.

@TruthBringer that’s actually how I fell in love with my boyfriend he used to write me ling paragraphs and long emails I found it so sweet. I actually miss that but at least he still tells me that he loves me all the time
- +1 y
@pink_and_inlove I used to do that too. Much of that effort went to waste in the end. And it does not work for the majority of guys. There are many memes made that ridicule such messages. Sadly, the majority of women see it as a form of weakness if a man writes long love messages. Eevn though they themselves don't want to admit it or aren't even aware of it themselves.
They say "awwhhh that's so sweet!" and then proceed messaging the dude who doesn't give a rat's ass about them other than wanting to have sex. - +1 y
@TruthBringer I don’t know how the majority of women are but for me it made me fall in love with him even more. It really warmed my heart and every email that he sent me made me so happy and feel loved
- +1 y
@pink_and_inlove We need more women like that
- +1 y
@TruthBringer I miss those emails and stuff 🥺
- +1 y
@pink_and_inlove You miss them because he stopped doing it. He stopped doing it because he didn't feel like you appreciated it - at least, you probably didn't make it known to him how much you appreciated it and how important it was to you. So he stopped. And this is what happens.
Most women expect the guy to do all this work and effort for them, but they don't show much appreciation for it, even if it means a lot to them, and so guys learn that it's not worth doing. Most guys get so little appreciation for anything that they lose their motivation to do these kinds of things. It's really sad and unfortunate. And it really doesn't take much for guys to feel appreciated. A hug, a kiss, and a genuine, look-him-in-the-eye, heartfelt "thank you" would get women so much, but most guys can't even get that.
I'm not trying to complain here, I'm just answering your question, so you truly understand WHY these things happen. - +1 y
He didn’t stop because he wasn’t appreciated I also wrote him long emails as well and I always was so happy to recieve them so that’s not true
- +1 y
Didn’t you see my other comments they always made me so happy to recieve them. Stop assuming stuff
- +1 y
@pink_and_inlove Fair enough. Given that you are together now, there's no real need to do that, but maybe you can think of something else he could do for you that's more appropriate/relevant to the current situation, where you aren't living apart. As I said, most guys are willing to do quite a bit to make their woman happy, but we don't always know what would make her happy. If you have some suggestions, I'm sure he'd be happy to hear them. If I were in his shoes, I would.
- +1 y
So you’re saying that I should tell him that I miss his long paragraphs? I do miss them a little but I’m okay without them. He still tells me that he loves me everyday
- +1 y
@pink_and_inlove I get that you miss the letters, but it doesn't make sense to write letters to the person you are physically living with (it made more sense in the past, when you lived apart), so if there is something ELSE he could do that would make you feel romantic, let him know. Maybe you'd like a good kiss when he gets home from work. Maybe some occasional flowers. Your favorite ice cream. A back rub. Whatever. Don't assume that he can read your mind - let him know if there are some special things he could do NOW. The point is NOT to get caught up on one specific thing, but rather, to find something he can do INSTEAD of writing letters that you find romantic, and then let him know what that is.
- +1 y
No we don’t live together both of our families believe that we should get married first so I would have to wait 3 or more years to get married to him and move out. We have been together for over a year though

So we just see each other about 3 times a week

Anonymous(36-45)+1 yTo the poster and to any girl reading this if you want my honest opinion why I am not romantic anymore and I mean this from the bottom of my heart. I do not want any hardcore feminist to read this and think "whatever", because I know there are girls like that on GAG. As an individual, I am the quiet/keep to myself type, however I enjoy talking, even with new people. But I have done everything I could to "impress" girls, I have tried to change the way I dress, facial hair or no facial hair, just doing things that aren't me. I thought to myself one day, why does it matter if I want to wear sneakers, a vintage t-shirt and some joggers and just crack jokes, talk about sports, video games, history/politics/religion? Not conforming myself to what a girl wants and sitting around gossiping about other people or watching mindless reality television shows.
The truth is what died inside of me are three things that happened.
1) In 2004, I asked a girl out that I really liked back in high school, she shot me down, she rejected me about going to prom but she still tries to act like a friend, she tells her ex boyfriend because she wasn't thinking, her ex boyfriend loses it and wants to kick my ass and she starts to get stressed. I told her ex boyfriend bring it and fight me, never happened. Weeks pass, prom is approaching and only 2 schools in the enter city/suburbs are sharing the same banquet hall on prom night (my high school and her idiot ex bfs school) what are the freaking odds? To make matters worse, prom night was on the day of my birthday but I didn't go despite other people telling me to go. The girl who I asked to prom the next day said, "oh you should have went, I would have danced with you". I was cold and distant. School ended, she went off to university, we eventually argue on MSN messenger, we stop talking to each other, 14 years later she adds me to Facebook but is married and that's fine, I don't harbour any anger towards her after all this time.
2) Another girl I really liked, she showed interest, she called me, she asked me to meet up, I was there for her, she knew I liked her. I went to the flower shop, ordered roses, bought her chocolates, paid $70 or something to have it delivered to her work. The next day didn't tell her, she said, "by the way I found a guy and we've been talking about I'm going to be with him". When I got the roses by delivery to my house, I threw the roses meant for her in the garbage. She rejected me and cut me out of her life for good not giving a crap.
3) I spent 3 years talking to another girl recently, she liked me, she wanted to meet up, she even wanted my nudes, and even wanted to send her nudes to me but I declined. I tried to be real with her, talk to her about other stuff and have real genuine convos and not just lusting over her like some obsessive simp guy. She stopped talking to me (basically ghosted), the last thing I told her in June is I wish her well, if she doesn't want to talk to me anymore thats fine and I told her I hope she finds the right guy that will treat her well and etc. I tried for 3 years to meet a girl and never happened and we live like 30-40 mins away from each other.
God knows I tried, and I have rejected different girls for sex, I am still a virgin, I don't party/I don't sleep around/I don't drink/I don't do drugs. If any girl reads this and assumes i'm some overbearing annoying guy, I know how to give girl space. I had the balls, patience and kindness to do nice things and what do I get in return, rejection and heart break. Romance inside of me is dead, I don't trust girls. To anyone who says, "focus on my life", I have gone to sporting events alone, the movies alone, studied and done well in school alone, go into law schools, doing my masters, work out, cook food, help my parents, work, saving money, minding my own business and etc. Its not like every guy today is better then me/is perfect, I've just been at the wrong place, wrong time52 Reply
Opinion Owner+1 yI'd rather have a girl shoot me in the head than to deal with her BS, her drama because apparently I am not good enough. Ok, I'm not good enough for girls. I'll just move on with my life, not bother ya girls and keep to myself. If any girl wants to laugh and point, sure, be my guest if that makes you feel better.
Opinion Owner+1 yI don't even harbour real anger towards girls, because even now that's numb inside me, wasting 3 years on a girl was the last straw for me. ROMANCE IS DEAD, CHIVALRY IS DEAD. Girls don't want that today. Girls on GAG yell and scream at me just for suggesting, is it ok if I approach a girl who catches my eye. To the girls on GAG apparently even that's wrong to do, sorry for doing something illegal on my end, I sincerely apologize, will y'all accept my apology? No? Ok that's fine *shrug*
+1 yYou are generalizing.😅 I know many guys who are nice but romantic? Sorry but why would be a random man be romantic to you? If you mean your boyfriend, talk with him. Communication is key. Anyway, most of the guys are very nice/romantic to their gfs/wifes in real life. At least in my experience. You also should be romantic too and give your attention and love too, otherwise you can't just expect romanticism, attention and love if you dont give all of this.
I like to give my money, gifts, time, love and my attention to my boyfriend. So i try be romantic and i like it when he gets shy but tries to hide it whenever i am showering him with my love lol.
No offence but gag has also some unrealistic leftover guys in my experience that blame all their problems on women and feminism because they can't take responsibility for their own decisions. As if random feminist ruin their relationships. They are like feminazis but genders reversed. They attract what they are. No wonder why they only meet bad women because good women won't even look at them
As I said bad people attract bad people.
However, women ain't angels. So bad women exist too but you have to be smart and not naive and stupid. I have been approached by players, or bad men aka leftover men but i rejected them or did not waste my time on them. So you can't blame all women because of your own stupidity and naivety that made you the victims of bad women. This is like when a stupid girl generalize all men because of her experience with bad men😅
We have problems too but we can't be the problem of all your problems. So why do some guys in the commentsection generalize women and blame all their problems on women without knowing the whole female population. Just explain to me how i influence your marriage, relationship etc? Do I ruin your relationship? If not, why do you blame all women for your problems? Just say some women or specific women like your exs. I see no difference between these guys and feminazis. I love how these guys hate feminazis but act exactly like them just genders reversed.
If anyone trashtalk aka generalize one gender, then the problem is this person, and not all men or women.
Before you give me a dislike, read my whole post slowly. I only critizise some or specific guys in the commentsection but even critizising some men make me get dislikes even though i did not generalize men which confused me.
However, i am sorry if i offended anyone.00 Reply
+1 yBecause people have forgotten old-school traditions that worked. Feminism, social media, red-pill; just the modern world has wrecked a lot of good things. People have gotten too sensitive, too picky and too up themselves.
Guys used to ask our dad's permission, take us on a date and walk us home safe. But somethings gone wrong somewhere, parenting maybe. Boys aren't raised to be respectful and a lot of girls have lost that homely, motherly feeling.
I'm not saying to be a push-over, you can still speak your mind appropriately and be successful in whatever you choose, but I reckon if girls got that homely-motherly thing back, then a lot more guys would wanna be taking you on dates and buying you flowers. That's just nature.
And guys, I'm sure you'd be getting a lot more girls if you were just a gentlemen. You can't change the world by 'going your own way', you can only change it if you lead by example. That means living in a way that represents your beliefs and you'll find someone the same.
The world isn't necessarily doomed, it just needs people who feel this way to act on it, lead by example and show people how much nicer it could be. Then maybe we could get back what we've lost.312 Reply- +1 y

Funny how you include the red pill in your rant as a reason why the world has gone to shits. The red pill would not even exist if it weren't for how society and today's feminism was so against men. The red pill has actually taught many men to filter out low-quality women or perhaps stay away from dating altogether (even though that's not the main message it tries to portray).
It's not that boys aren't raised in a respective way. It is that women and girls nowadays don't appreicate these same men and boys who hold these qualities. They would rather chase the cute fuckboy or the badboy than to be with someone who you're complaining about not existing anymore.
"And guys, I'm sure you'd be getting a lot more girls if you were just a gentlemen." No little sis, we are getting more women when we decided to drop the niceguy/gentleman persona and start to act what actually wins women over. Which is giving little emotional investment and putting them in their place (aka asshole/badboy). These same men who put little chase into women are the ones who get them. And I speak from experience. As the red pill has helped me and many other men tremendously with understanding female nature and being successful in getting them. - +1 y
@TruthBringer I'm sorry but I have to disagree. Yes, girls do go for 'bad boy' types but it's not quite how red pill teaches. Those types of guys tend to fabricate who they really are and lie to us. Just like how some guys go for gold diggers, because they trust them and misread their real intentions. Trust me, no girl enjoys being treated like that. A lot of girls just have low self-esteem and don't understand how they deserve to be treated, so they go for those types.
I'm not talking about 'nice guys'. No girls gonna go for a nice guy either. There's a difference between a nice guy and a gentlemen. I'm not talking about guys who chase girls to the end of the world, shower them hopelessly in all sorts of love, even if unrequited. I'm talking about guys who are respectful of girls (their hearts, their bodies and feelings), who can be romantic when appropriate and look after girls.
I think that red pill can be just as bad as feminism. Feminism has its place and I'm sure red pill would too. But there are teachings from both feminism and red pill that aren't too great. Like teaching guys to treat girls like crap, how red pill interprets out behaviour (I'm sorry, but it couldn't be more wrong), etc. If you're not chasing a girl, putting effort into her and being a nice human-being to her and getting her, then that's one emotionally messed up person.
Trust me, if I had a guy try win me over by being an A hole to me, it would not work. Good girls that have a little sense about them are not going to fall head over heels to that. They would tell the guy to bugger off. My sisters would, my mum would, my cousins would and my friends would. That's a lot of bloody girls. - +1 y
@TruthBringer And just to add, when you're adopting the bad boy/f boy persona, are you getting hook-ups, or long term, meaningful relationships?
- +1 y
The Red Pill is a response to radical femenism and it teaches men to prioritize themselves. If women use the social media and the internet to explore their hypergamy to the hilt and attempt to pair with the top 1% of men then men can use the same platforms to protect themselves from this extreme-hypergamy. You have to realize what it feels for the average man where 80% of the men are invisible to the 80% of women. So why even play?
- +1 y
@Kaamraj I'm sorry but that's not true. Any guy can get a girl, I promise. You don't need to be rich, super-handsome, or anything like that. It's a lie that's fed to guys that don't know how to get girls. It's either a problem with yourself or with the type of girls you're going for. There's plenty of girls out there that will love a guy warts and all.

Unlike you, I’ve actually spent time researching the red pill for some years and was active in the community. Reading your comment, it is clear that you’re getting your information from anti-red pill sources (which usually have feminist biases). The red pill fundamentally teaches men to focus on themselves, not on women. By focusing on himself, he attracts women by default. Which holds a lot of truth actually. Since the men who chase women often fail in getting them. While the ambitious man who got his shit together happens to attract said women. It teaches female nature as we see today and the reason why the red pill is so successful and growing larger and larger doesn’t have anything to do with anti-women sentiment, but rather its accurate interpretation of female nature that happens to resonate with so many men. I was there before red pill became mainstream. Now many people have heard about the red pill in some way or other.
Hate to break it to you, but you’ve just proven that you know nothing about what the red pill truly is. Often people mistake the red pill for the black pill, while there is a huge difference between the two. Groups like MGTOW but also the red pill philosophy are a byproduct thanks to toxic feminism. The red pill never said that being a bad guy and treating women poorly is a good thing. The red pill teaches what works with women as in NOW, but it holds traditional family-friendly qualities (which includes gender roles) in high regards that would benefit both the man AND the woman. The men who harbor resentment towards women have clearly taken the pill wron
g and the fundamental idea went straight over their heads.

When it comes to being a 'gentleman'. A gentleman is someone who holds chivalrous qualities. Often these qualities are shown within nice guys and NOT within the bad boys/assholes whom women are obviously craving to be with. There is a reason why the quote “Chivalry is dead and women have killed it” went viral. These same men whom women chase do not show qualities that are considered ‘gentlemanly’.
It’s thanks to the red pill I have managed to find my girlfriend. Because it taught me what to look for in a woman (a high value woman that is) and how to keep her happy. That also includes being a 'gentleman' because she has proven to be worthy of a gentleman as she actually appreciates one.

@harmseygracelu I've managed to get both hookups and a long term relationship by adopting qualities that are associated with being a bad boy.
- +1 y
"Its a lie that is fed to men who can't get girls" and yet the red pill resonates with almost every man out there. You don't know how it is to be a man, so don't lecture us about how it is to date women. Like I said, you've proven not to know anything about the red pill and are confusing it with the black pill.
- +1 y
"lie fed to guys who dont know how to get girls" so now you admit that the burden of preformance is on the guy to get the girl? So now men are deciding it's not worth it anymore. Divorce rates are over 50 % with women initiating over 75% of those, add on top of that alimony, child custody, and losing half your assets. Only a fool would agree to those terms. And there have been studies done on dating platforms to show that where men's preception of women are more realistic, women's preception of men are highly skewed, meaning they find majority of them to be below average, so it means they have a delluded sense of what average is.

Lead and set example you say but the problem is ladies dont want you to lead anymore.
They want to lead yet they don't want to it's like they want push from men for them to lead.
Yet men led on there own nobody pushed them.

+1 y“Guys” have lost their romantic side with the feminist shaming thereof. Overtime, life has lost its spice. Does anyone notice food does not even taste right anymore? I recently bought some produce from a small farmer, cooked it up, and I realized that I forgot how food was supposed to taste. You cannot even have a conversation with someone anymore because he or she has earphones in, walking around talking to themselves. If you accidentally respond, you discover they are talking to the phone. Has anyone “stopped to smell the roses” recently or even in their lifetimes? We sadly are in an artificial-life and in that state any creative thought or desire for the simple ways are shunned. There is a sinister air about the world today and those that can sense it suffer the most. The human condition is traversing from natural life to a semi-automated highly regulated and controlled existence. In this existence, there really is no room for such things as “romance.” Such of a thing is considered passé, and is fallen to a dusty old novel. The new existence revolves around the new woman and her strife for ultimate success and societal domination with all lights and cameras on her. Nothing, which is counter to her succeeding, is politically correct and “romance” is at the top of the cancel culture’s list. Our world is headed to everything mechanized and that includes thought too where anything that you think must comply with policy while the phone and the internet are there to track and monitor your every thought for total regulatory control of said thought. “Romance” shall be removed from the dictionary.

Doomer is a meme for a reason.
Thotty Wojak enters the park. Sits on a bench. Chad walks by. Thotty throws herself at Chad. Chad goes away. She gets mad when Chad doesn't return the next day for a rerun.
Doomer walks into the park. Notices Thotty. Keeps on walking. Thotty is so disgusted by Doomer's mere existence, she sics Karen on him. Doomer confronts Thotty about lying about him to Karen. Thotty calls the police.
Doomer avoids jail time. But is required to speak to a counselor. Counselor only further blames Doomer's existence for everything wrong in the world, rather than acknowledging that he was the real victim of an actual criminal conspiracy. Counselor is a pink-haired butch with feigned credentials.
Doomer starts contemplating suicide.
That's why you can't find good men. Thots and Karens conspire to destroy them before you get a chance. And try to cockblock you if they notice you found a workaround.
Then, there are those self-important university student government freaks, pink hair optional. They see romantic men like what you want as acceptable human sacrifices for their virtue signaling campaigns.
In at least one instance, when the gal refused to play along with the student government defaming her boyfriend and trying to get him expelled over an incident that never happened, they tried to gaslight her that she had Stockholm syndrome. When she wouldn't fall for it, they bullied her outright, threatening to get her expelled if she didn't change her tune and testify against her boyfriend to advance their narrative.
Such evildoers need to be burned at the stake. Then, romantic men may possibly make a return. For now, they have to hide under rocks to avoid these insufferable sociopaths.31 ReplyYou're really asking why the guys that YOU like don't decide to be romantic with you. Because there are plenty of guys who are romantic.
In all seriousness. The average girl does not appreciate romantic Gestures outside maybe an ego boost unless it's a guy they already like.
Outside of that the reaction can range from uncomfortable but flattered to "that's creepy". I've seen guys be romantic and get shit on by the girl who thinks he's pathetic.
Romance makes some sense in a dating context with a girl you really like. Like your girlfriend, wife, or girl on the road to becoming either.
Without that pre established relationship you'll perceive the guys actions negatively. Your boyfriend giving you flowers, saying "you're mine and I want to be with you always" you might say is romantic.
Now how do you feel, when it's the guy behind the register at 711 whom you only see at 711 sometimes saying, "you're mine and I want to be with you always"
Still romantic?
Basically anything you consider romantic. Imagine it's a old, fat, 75 year old man doing and saying the same thing. Do you feel the same way?
This should illuminate what you really care about rather than broadly talking about guys in general. Because guys in general will be romantic. Question is are they guys you would want and would they with you?30 ReplyI would argue they still are. More so than women at least. But it has gone down, and I would say that would be on modern feminism and modern women.
Women are out here saying they are independent, don't need a man, blah blah blah, but then they still want men to open doors for them, pay for the date, and buy them flowers. And expect nothing in return. Treat them like they are "special" rather than an "equal" like they have been asking for. So men have adjusted. You can't be equal and special at the same time.
Also women make these rules for some men and not others. They want romance from one guy and make him work for it, then go fuck some hot dude the first night without any of that, and we see that.
I would also ask you what do women do that is "romantic" for men these days? Most women can't even cook anymore. Valentines day is for women not men. What do we get from you? A shitty tie or something cheap for our birthdays and some sex?
Women "give" men sex, which is actually something for both people. Women act like them giving us some pussy is a gift. When they need dick too.
So overall answer. Women expect too much and provide little to nothing in return these days. And guys are kind of tired of it. That's my opinion anyway.22 Reply- +1 y
I agree
In my experience, 1. There're many American/Italian/Asian guys who really treat you romantically. Even when they are hard to find, you'll find them with time. 2. French guys are suuuuper unromantic!(sicne 30 y ago?) If there's any woman who thinks them as romantic, it's because they haven't been liked by lots of men before, and haven't been treated well by them.
French guys treat you like men at some point, thinking it's being equal.. and they're never desperate for love, making the idea of love so unimportant and indispensable. They always have some lame idea of trying to think "it's meant to be like that", even when it's just being lazy and weak.
On the other hand, romantic men make you feel he is desperate to make you happy, and be loved by you. If the destiny is against him, he'll try to overcome it like a man.
Just take your time, and search for this kind of guy.
Even when they're kind of hiding, because the fab is making "being careless" as being cool, they do exist.15 Reply- +1 y
That's all nice but you are saying you find desperate men as romantic to you lol for the most populous they piece of garbage who couldn't get laid yes it's a general view and most women think that
- +1 y
@Aakash_Hangargi Nope. It's never like that. Cause firstly, if you noticed, being desperate to put the woman on a bed, and being desperate to make her happy are very different things. Secondly, some guys think the women that they love are more important than anything. So, that's why they're desperate to make those women happy, but don't do the same for every women.

Possible possible
Anonymous(30-35)+1 yWhen I was young I was romantic and idealistic. I was looking for my “soul mate”. When I liked a girl I’d imagine all kinds of romantic things we might do together, I’d think about her if I heard romantic songs. I wanted that stuff.
But then I’d act that way and those women would seem to like it for a while, we’d sometimes be doing boyfriend/girlfriend stuff like holding hands, cuddling, maybe even kissing, and then they’d say that there was “no spark”. They’d date some guy who obviously was not romantic, and was probably a bit of a player.
If that happens enough times many of us just think to ourselves “well I did all this stuff and those women all turned me down. And she went for the guy who didn’t do that stuff. Maybe it just doesn’t work in my favour” and we stop.
Then for some of us, well speaking for myself here, when we stop with that stuff women seem to like us more and want to stick around more.
Basically it’s about how women reward or punish certain behaviours in men. That’s what determines the way many of us act. If being romantic worked more guys would be romantic, but it doesn’t so we avoid it.40 ReplyI still am I have just found it difficult with women i have met especially Australian women.
When I was living in Scotland (Edinburgh) i was dating a French girl who really appreciate it and we had dated for a while but she wanted to go home (Angers) and I didn't want to live in France so we departed ways.
But I'd always open the door for her, give my coat when it would get cold (Scotland can get pretty cold), always look after her if she wqs unwell, if something was on her mind no matter what id always wanted to help, I cleaned her apartment for her (then become our apartment when we i moved in) would cook dinner, plan weekend get aways in the highlands and she would treat me just as well. I never raised my voice or cracked it.. If we argued (vary rarely) i would try to explain my point of view and she would explain hers and then we would try and see it from the others point of view.
She was the first women who i felt I wasn't being judged for having red hair so i let my gaurds down and was myself.
In Australia I have never come across women like that whom are caring, feminine and strong.
I have found most like the fully sick type of men who treat women poorly.40 Reply
+1 yThe truth is that most women don’t act in a way that makes men want to be romantic. Modern culture tells women to sleep around and be selfish. It’s not a conscience act of if you don’t do this, then I won’t either. It’s a matter of vulnerability. It takes a lot of balls to show emotional intimacy to a woman, and when women are shown to be selfish and untrustworthy, then we put our guards up. We won’t be as hurt if don’t put as much effort. Nothing feels shittier than going out of your way to show a woman romance to find out she’s been fucking someone else the entire time. It’s extremely emasculating and hurtful. Truthfully it’s just so unattractive as well. The more feminine and loyal a woman is, the more romance she’ll attract.
60 Reply1.4K opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. Women finally convinced men that most women are whorish/low quality, disloyal. In the past a guy would assume you were a lady until proven wrong. Now they assume you're NOT a lady until proven otherwise. It's the same reason why a guy won't treat you like his wife if you're not even his girlfriend. Get real. There's a level of trust you have to EARN before a guy is going to give you yet another thing that you feel entitled to.

Men also sleep around heaps though. I’ve still observed that men have higher body counts so that’s not really something to complain about. A lot of women don’t act all lady like because they feel vulnerable and damaged by past relationships. I’ve seen that myself. How a goody-two-shoes suddenly becomes this bisexual, dr. Marten wearing, grunge ultra hot after getting cheating on. Younger generations lack the persistence and initiative to keep trying. So they just completely let go after one failed relationship. Once you’re there you can’t go back. Not to mention the rise of atheism causing people to abandon conservatism and their belief in true love. The Christian values western society was founded on are crumbling and all I see is people complaining and pointing fingers in the wrong direction. You can’t rip out the roots and still expect the tree to stand tall if you get what I mean? These days people are will to cheat, rape, and slut about because the only fear is being caught. Not spending eternity in hell. Don’t you think someone would be less likely to cheat if they believed Christ was watching them like a hawk? Exactly. Porns also a massive issue. Back in the day both men and women were a lot more innocent on average. Nowadays kids first introduction to sex is through porn. Were they’re watching a bunch of coked out women preform acts once considered “unnatural” and “degrading”. Porn allows you to just flip through people with ease. That surely is having a negative side effect.
- +1 y
@Jaanellie it doesn’t matter if men have higher body counts since 1.) women don’t think it’s a negative. A woman never said, “I’m not going to marry this successful man because he had a lot of women.” It’s the opposite which is why a lot of guys even lie to inflate their numbers. Almost zero quality dudes will take a woman with a high count seriously. As far as “women don’t act all lady like because.. past relationships”. Yeah, too much whoring.
- +1 y
@Jaanellie 2.) the main value a woman had to a man is being a loyal member of the opposite gender. Quality guys don’t look to women to provide/protect/give them stuff. Men & women think differently. Even successful career women expect their man to give them lots & lots of stuff from emotional support to gifts
- +1 y
- +1 y
@ArnKnightTemplar I don’t think you can measure innocent with porn. People were doing lot of not so innocent stuff thousands of years ago. Far as whether people are more reserved if they think Christ is watching... depends on the individual. Catholic schoolgirls have a rep for being more whorish than secular girls. a pastor told me that the women he met at Seminary were the biggest sluts you can find... epic whoring. Back in the day you couldn’t cheat and get zero punishment. Plus there were more higher quality partners in both genders. The culture didn’t condone making being disloyal easy.
- +1 y
From a female point of view I have to disagree with you there. The average modern woman (I’m 18) isn’t too enthusiastic about a man with a high body count when it comes to relationships. Women desire loyalty as well. A man with a high body count is usually just branded a player and women internalise that with distrust because he could literally drop you from someone else whenever he wanted. There’s also the whole “party boy” trope. Those guys usually have the highest body counts, however, women don’t see that as successful. There’s a point where you realise that dudes like that just take advantage of drunk/emotionally unstable girls. It’s not an achievement it’s boarder line assault. Tbh man sluts sleep with girl sluts. They don’t have a shot with anyone classy.
There’s this dude I know who was the ultimate popular party boy. His body count was twice his age and he wasn’t lying about it because I know most of the girls he slept with. In the end he couldn’t get a girlfriend. The only ones down to date him were girls with high body counts who cheated after literally a month. This guy fell in love with me. He was really sweet and charming under all the unnecessary show-boating and sex. However, I was grossed out by him. There’s just something so off putting about the high body count thing. When I started ghosting him he sorta went into this deep depression and he’s still single. He has this bitterness toward other girls who aren’t me because aside from me only other sluts wanted to associate with him in the end.
My fiancé was a virgin when I met him. I don’t think I could be with someone who wasn’t. We’ve been together for 2 years now.
When I think of high body count I think of STDs, other women’s yeast infected genital fluids, and a lack of commitment and morality. All the low body count girls I’ve ever known feel the same way.
If you think about it logically. Men are way more likely to fuck a prostitute. Men are way more likely to fuck someone they just met. - +1 y

Porn does have something to do with it because “back in the day” hours and hours of sexually explicit content was very difficult to find. Men had to work harder to get a woman’s attention and due to religious morals the woman was unlikely to put out before marriage. I know a lot of “Catholic schoolgirls” but they aren’t actually Catholic. They don’t believe in god. I’m talking about religious beliefs before the sexual renaissance of the 60s were sex was made cool and edgy.
- +1 y
@Jaaanellie hmm I can't argue with most of that last comment. I personally would never sleep with a prostitute for various reasons, but for others I don't really know I just say because its foolish to risk what can happen as a result. Then there is the loss of money you could have invested elsewhere maybe even on a woman you actually want to be with.

The main value a woman had to a man used to be barring his children. Marriage used to be some what of a business deal between wealthy families. Then it became more about companionship and love.
As for providing and protecting, you need to view that point under a social constructivist lens. Throughout history their have been matriarchies, patriarchies, and something in between. The concept of the patriarchy can first be seen after the spread of fundamentalist religion. Especially within Islam. A lot of Jesus’s teaching and words were spun or purposely mistranslated to objectify women. Remember that the bible was in Latin so people just took the Pope’s word for it. Modern Christians know this. Through European colonisation and missionary work the misconstrued narrative of “God’s word” was spread far and wide. It still plays a massive role in western culture to this day. It’s also the most documented and talked about culture. Patriarchal culture.
Meanwhile, there were several groups that had the roles switched. Men weren’t allowed to own land, make laws, pass down their last name, or be head of the house. These civilisations were present through Africa, India, and China pre-colonisation.
Then there’s the non-hierarchical societies such as the Palawan and the Celts. In Celtic society men and women shared every job and had equal rights. The women were warriors. They’d fight alongside men in battle. They would hunt, gather, and protect the village.
It’s just the culture we’re raised in that determines gender roles. I don’t expect to be provided for or protected. I can protect myself and I can take punches. Must be the Celtic blood in me.
A quality man can be a stay at home father who cooks and cleans while his wife works. I’d much prefer that over a scummy guy with a massively high body count who feels a constant need to be validated that he is in fact masculine for providing.
You can be a lady and a warrior. - +1 y

@Jaaanellie I'm not gonna agree with everything you say at present (nor with hahahmm for that matter), but I must say I respect the fact that you seem to have a fair degree of historical knowledge. Too many people ignore history just like they ignore politics. It's a bad move that works in the favor of all those who would oppress or use you.
I will say that the marriage institution presented in the bible has always been the same (unless there is a change between old and new testament I am unaware of). The cultural or legal versions of marriage do not matter to god. Anything seeming to be a change of what is in the bible is merely a mistake or deception by someone. I am actually slowly examining the bible when compared to the original language (ancient greek I believe, at lest for the new testament). - +1 y
I wasn’t meaning about marriage. I was talking about the patriarchy. Basically that women just belong in the kitchen and shouldn’t have equal rights. You can be married in the eyes of god as equals. The bible says we’re all created equal.
- +1 y
@Jaaanellie The patriarchy is a myth. Men and women have worked together throughout history. There simply tend to be less women leaders than men leaders. The inherent differences between men and women naturally directs them to certain roles. Of course there are always men and women who have less typical desires and interests.
Also, the bible does not actually say we are all created equal. That's the declaration of independence using 'men' as an old way of saying mankind (which includes women too). The bible speaks of fairness, unity, oneness, and partnership, not a lot about equality. Men and woman (and by extension everyone) are not meant to be equal. They are meant to be fair, just, and cooperative. Women and men men each have different strengths and weaknesses that compliment each other. If we were all equal, then we would all be interchangeable, expendable, unimportant, and lacking in individuality. However, we are not. Men are not to marry men. Women are not to marry women. If we were all equal, we would not even have the two genders we were created as. I don't have aproblem with women pursuing careers, nor do I believe they belong in the kitchen only, but men do find those traits desirable whether you like it or not. As a rule when it comes to men and women, I trust only what the bible says. I can not like it. You can not like it. It is what it is, and it is what is right. If you can show me a mistranslation fine, but otherwise I will trust what it says over any man or woman. - +1 y
It does say in the bible that all people are created equal in the eyes of god and that’s what the constitution was based off of. Like I said Christianity is the roots of western society.
The patriarchy isn’t a myth. Women had to fight for the right to vote in western society. Women used to not be able to have professional jobs, own property, or divorce. Through the feminist suffrage movement women attained rights in the western world.
According to history and reliable psychology (nurture vs nature) we know that there aren’t really specific biological traits that differentiate men and women on a mental level. No one has been able to prove the difference. It all has to do with up bringing.
You think men are in more leadership positions than women because you, just like myself, live in a society trying to recover from the patriarchy.
Like I said before, there were civilisations were women would do the hunting, own the land, and were the leaders. There were also societies such as the Celtic people who showed no difference between genders.
So it’s no an innate man and woman thing. It’s the culture.
I trust in much of what the bible says but a lot of it was mistranslated by people abusing their power. Like Pope Urban II who told the English they’d burn in hell if they didn’t fight in the crusades.
Jesus treated women like equals. Like the story in the bible where he talks to the Samarian prostitute when no one else would.
My man doesn’t find submissive women attractive and I know a lot of people like him. It’s down to preference. - +1 y
The two genders weren’t created so that one would be better than the other. God sees everyone equally and that’s what matters.

@Jaaanellie I'm not gonna bother with most of your points because I rather not get into a big argument about it right now. I will just point out that regardless of what you wish was so, it is a fact that there absolutely are inherent psychological/mental differences between men and women. There has been research into this, and it has been proven (ironically by the studies made by those who said it was not the case). Just listen to Jordan Peterson talk about it. It's true that mentally men and women are generally similar, but their differences manifest at the edges of the data taken in the studies. An example of where we differ is that more men are in STEM fields not at all because of any sexism or oppression of woman but actually because most women simply are not interested. People who say we need more women in STEM fields will only get their way if they force women into them and force men out of them. Now that would be oppression.

@Jaaanellie "Men also sleep around heaps though. " No, those are the men YOU are attracted to. The vast majority of men aren't even seen standing by women, let alone have the courtesy of sleeping around. These men you are referring to are the top-tier men who women flock to. So they have an abundance of women to choose from. And once they feel bored by you, they have no issues jumping to the next chick. Hereby yet again proves that women's choice in men are of poor quality.
" A lot of women don’t act all lady like because they feel vulnerable and damaged by past relationships." That's what you get when you date the asshole/badboy and decide to friendzone the dude who does want to build something with you. But that guy gets labeled as "boring" and "too nice".
It's not only pron and the abandonment of family values. These things are also to thank by feminism. Modern feminism is out there to destroy the nuclear family. All because these same feminist elites didn't have the luxury to experience those things themselves, so they feel the need to deprive others just as they themselves were deprived. Not to forget to mention the irony in fighting the idea of women being "sexualized" and then encourage these same women to be promiscuous, start an OnlyFans and wear skimpy outfits. - +1 y

Anonymous(30-35)+1 yOk so you're here asking why men are no longer what women want them to be. Do you think women now are what men want them to be? Men have been forced to accept women for what they are now in place of what men really want them to be. Guess what, turnabout is fair play. Women now are nothing like what women were like 50 years ago. Do you think men are happy about that? Do you think men like what women have become? When women decide to be traditional women again, men will care enough to be traditional men again. Until then, tough shit.

Yeah, it's interesting how a woman can love all of that but never lift one finger to do anything nice for her man or IF she does 1 thing in 6+ months she acts like it's equivalent to him doing nice things every day/week. The math doesn't add up so most guys just opted out or reduced what they give to little.

Because it's not worth it. Romance is an effort that a man who is either gaining sexual value, or had value puts in to attract and secure a woman of comparative value. One thing I would really like to straighten out here, is that women do not like abusers. Abusers manipulate you and mess with your mind so bad, that you don't know what to do. They start slow and pretend to be a completely different person until it's too late. You already feel like you're stuck and you can't get out, a lot of cases and you are. You're dead if you leave.
My father was abusive and my mum was married to him for 10 years. She did not enjoy being beaten almost to death, watching her kids be beaten almost to death, being threatened, being manipulated, being silenced and alone. She didn't enjoy having to stay so that my dad didn't take us kids off her and end up killing us.
It is a lot more complex than you think, so don't you dare say stuff like that. - +1 y
@harmseygracelu
One of the things that I learned about women was to ignore everything that they said and to, instead, watch what they did.
What I observed was women rejecting good men who wanted to love them and then throwing themselves crotch first at the most worthless abusive knuckle draggers they could find.
This happened not once, but again and again.
I saw this in my own relationships.
It is not possible to observe this self-destructive behaviour in woman after woman for years without forming an unflattering opinion of the female cognitive process.
Women are drawn to abusive arseholes as a moth is drawn to a flame. Women cannot help themselves.
In the case of your mother, she picked him and she chose to stay with him. Think about that.
Women usually want these things from men:
Decent income/make more than her
Ambition
Charismatic
Funny
Intelligent
Confidence
Maturity
Decently fit/strong
Good looking
Pretty tall
Leadership qualities
Good in bed
Hobbies/interests and whatnot too
And of course romantic.

This could be because the guy has been hurt by girls or that he's seen so many guys get hurt. +1 yBecause they can't differentiate between girls like us who want romance from the hyper, crazy third wave feminists who will scream about the patriarchy/sexual harassement when they try to do something romantic.

Wrong. Men don't just assume everyone is a crazy feminist. They happen to put in the effort and see little to no effort being put into them. And instead of knowing their stance in a girl's eyes, they get exploited for free validation/attention. That's where the problem is. Not all girls are crazy or feminists, but a lot of girls simply do not have the decency to stop exploiting men for free validation/attention even though they aren't into them. This false hope breeds resentment towards women. Of course not all women are like that, my girlfriend happens to be one of the good ones. But it took me a lot of time to filter through all the women who ARE like that just to find her.

@TruthBringer Glad you got it mate fortunately I have a lovely woman by my side but time has changed women gotta help
Anonymous(30-35)+1 yWomen treat romantic men like shit , specially when they are young now a days. Being bad boys are treding. Girls are getting attracted by those macho charismatic personality over soft romantic gestures. Guys want to woo girls , over the years they have seen being romantic only leads to friendzone. That's why majority have switched and that made them more successful with girls

1. We don't feel loved by the women.
2. We don't know which girls just want to have sex with us.
3. We don't know if girls want us just for our money.
4. We don't know if girls are just using us as a stepping stone.
5. We do have romantic.
6. We don't want fake women aka manipulative girls.
7. We don't want controlling women. We don't mind being boss by women but trying to control everything.10 Reply

Yes and the romantic ones are tossed aside as the ones you claima re "for the streets" are the ones who get women. What does that tell you about women and their choices then?

It's easy to label A LOT of women as "not the right ones". There is indeed truth to that. The problem is, it seems that there are way too many of these women. I could also say it's the majority considering men having a hard time finding the 'right ones'. And many of these women tend to switch mentality once they start getting older, stop sportfucking through the bad boys in their 20s and "finally" see the worth of having a "nice guy" whom they want to settle down with just to have someone who provides for them (as they failed making the bad boy commit).

With age comes wisdom, but sportfucking through your 20s willingly for the fun and realizing that fun has an age limit isn't really "learning". Deliberately spend your 20s fucking random dudes who turn you on with their 'bad boy' behavior and lifestyle isn't just some "mistake". That's just putting it lightly when in reality it means one has no impulse control, seeks the thrill and openly admits wanting the bad boys instead of a meaningful long-term relationship at that age. Once the bad boys don't see em standing, now all of a sudden it is "a mistake which comes with age". If it takes you a decade to learn from a "mistake", then it's not truly a mistake to begin with. It's obvious that they want to settle for someone who isn't just going to pump and dump them, but rather provide. These same men they settle for weren't given the time of day when these women were in their prime years. Don't insult people's intelligence. You're not fooling anyone with your manipulation tactic. Sorry, love.

Gotta love how you immediately jump to ad hominems after I literally debunked your little pathetic excuse. So anyone who sees things for what they truly are is now "holding on to some serious grudges against women". You're right, I harbor resentment against women like that who are there to exploit men. Not the ones who have their shit together and a good head on their shoulders to know what to truly seek in a partner other than thrill, hooking up and avoiding accountability by sugarcoating it with "it was a mistake, knowledge comes with age and experience. Even though that knowledge had cost me 50 dicks up my ass and I liked it". "Save your apologies to the relationships you can’t keep because of your trust issues." And yet somehow I'm in a wonderful relationship with a wonderful girl who is the complete opposite of the women we talk about. Like I said, save your pathetic arguments and futile ad honimens for those who are gullible enough to fall for them. If you're going to try your luck in making me feel insulted, at least try to do a better job than my previous drill sergeants.
