Do you believe in relationships that started in high school and do you think I have a chance with this girl?

I will give you the following situation. I am a boy and I am 23 years old and I am telling you about my situation with a girl who is 21 years old. I met this girl 3 years ago in the first year of university, when she was in a relationship with a boy she had been classmates with in high school. About a year after that, she broke up with her boyfriend (after almost a 1 year and a half relationship), and from then on we started getting closer. She started liking me (she admitted this to me later), but unfortunately I didn't do anything and didn't show her any signs that I liked her too. She tried to make us friends, we started talking, I started to like her too. I can say that I really fell in love with her very badly, only that when I realized this, she had already reconciled with her ex-boyfriend who she had been with in high school. When I decided to tell her that I see her as more than a friend, she confessed that she also liked me a lot and that she suffered a lot because I didn't really pay attention to her at that time, but unfortunately at this point there isn't much to do because she and her ex-boyfriend are almost together. Now at this point they have already been together for 3-4 months (and talking/dating for over a year), but I feel like she still has something for me, I feel like there is a tension between us. What odds do you give this relationship between her and her ex-boyfriend? How long do you think such a relationship could last? And what chances do you think I still have with her (I mention that we still talk and are quite close)? I feel like I was wrong and that because I didn't move in time, that boy is now sitting in my place, which should have been mine.
