17 years in, I’m sure we’re both more like “could you PLEASE change the way you’ve been doing shit the last decade and half, and have some new shit happen to you, because YES, you HAVE “told me about the time….”😂😂😂 Probably applies more to me than her, though, lmao, intentionally beating a joke into the ground until it’s the opposite of funny is kind of my schtick😝 I enjoy annoying her, hahaha.

She’s from NYC, so she says stuff in the accent, like “duog🐶, “wualk”🚶, “cuoffee☕️”, etc, and I still get a kick out of that. I actually kind of enjoy our conversations in general because I’m countering with my pretty-thick Boston accent. Like she’ll ask me to bring her “cuoffee”, and I ask if she wants it from “Stahhhbuck’s”😝

I guess I like when she goofs on my accent. She had a crush on young Matt Damon growing up, and also would always like the “Boston guy” they’d also wheel out every other season on The Real World. She liked that it was always some working class guy with a good heart, loves his mother, and would usually be chill but one episode would beat up another cast member for being disrespectful to a woman…. she LOVES that trope, haha. So she kind of sees me as a dream manifested, which is for sure flattering, however short I probably fall of the prototype.

We quote Good Will Hunting lines, I always recite quotes like “ahhh, so this is a Hahhhvid bahhhhh…. always thought there’d be like equations on the walls n’ shit.”, or “My boy’s WICKED smahhht.”

And similarly, there were the old Saturday Night Live skits with Jimmy Fallon and Rachel Dratch playing the Boston couple. And she’d say to him “You’re retahhhhded.”, then he’d say “YOU ahhhh…”, and then they’d just start making out HARD, lmao….

So I think that’s probably my number one from her, she always does the “you ahhhhh”, in a fake accent, and it warms my heart every time😅
