Why does my boyfriend forget about our dates and should I be mad about it?

Initially my boyfriend said we will meet each other on Friday to exercise. So, I asked him today Thursday what time we will see each other tomorrow. He then asked on what and called me.

Apparently, he forgot so I got mad and said ok let's just meet next week Friday instead. He said I was overacting and that he even called me to confirm.

I mean who forgets about dates? And why would he be pissed when it was he who forgot about our date. I also have issues with him forgetting about monthsaries. I never forget dates and he told me he even forgets about his birthday.

Am i reasonable to get mad? And why would he get mad if I reschedule the date?
