My boyfriend never plans dates anymore?

I usually go to his on the weekend and we just chill in his room and watch movies. Its honestly getting boring. He used to plan dates all the time, take me out etc but now nothing :(

Its not like he doesn't have money either. He works full time and I work too! It doesn't even have to be expensive, even just a small picnic or anything... i just want him to plan a date and surprise me, just take some initiative! I want this so bad, i feel like his stopped trying.. weve been together a year and abit. I hate this :(

I've also talked to him about this and he says he doesn't know what to plan and that its stressful?

I've planned a lot of things, i just want him to take the lead for once.

i think this can be relatively common in dating as we get comfortable and the initial part is over.

it can be difficult to think of stuff to do especially if you are trying to think of different stuff to do. but of course just going to dinner, or a movie, or a nice walk, or a hike somewhere can always be fun

perhaps you could work with him to come up with general ideas of stuff you could do... my wife and i do that about once a month. just things we may have heard about or just in general would be interested in doing.

Perhaps he just wants to be alone with you, because to him snuggling with you, smelling your hair and holding you close is better than any date that he could possibly imagine.

How old is he? My boyfriend is 24 and he's exactly the same. If we have free time I always have to suggest something, it makes me feel like he doesn't love me enough to plan stuff. Though we live together and I think the spark has gone. He plans things with his mates like they have meet ups and do shit together but as far as me and him, well often end up doing something he hates and get in an argument. Think you'll need to give an ultimatum it isn't fair... it'll only get worse when you live together

If you want to go out on a date, do something about instead of crying that he isn't doing it all.
