Why should I look for a relationship?

I'm piggybacking off of another question. Why should I look for a relationship if I can support myself on my own? Can someone give me some legitimate answers and not just snide, rude, and sarcastic ones?

It's great. It's like finding that other person that makes you happy, that you love being around and don't want to be away from. That person who you want to do everything with. The person that you love their voice, the way they talk, what they say, the way they look, the way they smell, the way they kiss you, the funny things they say, the way they make love, the way they cuddle. It's like no other feeling on the planet.

That does sound fantastic, but from my understanding, this has to go both ways. I can't imagine anyone feeling that way about me☠️ I don't dislike the idea of being in love, but I don't want to disappoint girls and waste their time.

I don't look that great. I know that's not everything, but it's not a great start. I also don't have any real long-term dating experience, and I'm pretty basic and boring. I mean outside of sports, gaming, and work, I just browse YouTube and occasionally make music with friends. I don't smoke or drink, so apparently I'm not having fun. My voice sounds pretty annoying tbh, and I have a basic, boring office job. When I talk to people, I just kind of go with the vibe of the conversation. I don't really add anything useful, so people don't even pay attention to what I'm saying 90% of the time. I'm basically the perfect background character. I don't hate myself, but the list goes on and on

It definitely could be, but I feel like it's pretty accurate based on how people treated me in the past. When I tried dating, I was largely ignored, ghosted, or straight up insulted. The only girls that entertained me for more than a day were some of the nicest people on the planet. My conclusion was that it takes someone that nice to spend time with me, and I can't really show her a good time in return. Those girls definitely deserved better

Do you think maybe if you did go out more and socialize that you might get better at it at all? That you might feel like you can't converse properly with others because your social skills might be lacking a bit at the moment?

I definitely feel that way. I don't know how to describe it though, I get a sick, feverish feeling when I think about talking to people I don't know. I still do it, but I kind of just autopilot and don't make any progress. I wouldn't say I'm awkward, but I definitely don't make an impression on anyone.

I mean it's a disorder which means it actively affects your life for the worse. Any kind of personality disorder needs therapy to help fix or control.
