I am currently single but I am having issues with male coworkers at my new job so I thought pretending to be engaged will save me the drama

If your answer is yes or something along the lines of "it depends" then I'm sorry to tell you this, but you're messed up. I can understand that for a woman, it's sometimes overwhelming getting approached by weird guys all the time or just guys in general when you're not interested in seeing anyone and/or you're already taken, but you also don't want to hurt their feelings. But I'd still advise you not to lie blatantly to their faces, especially your bosses, who may actually take it as a sign of you being dishonest and untrustful.

Instead, you could simply say you're not interested in anyone, or if you are seeing someone else, just tell them that and continue on with your day. If they don't take the hint and leave you alone, and try to get close to you even after you specifically told them not to, then that's their issue and not yours, and they're the ones who need to grow up and move on

Why not pretend to be married? I've done it when I wasn't. Get's tons of pussy bruah. Chicks totally want to fuck married guys more than the single guy. If you have a problem with that and you're not like the other women... congratulations you're special... but what I'm saying is factual.

It is not but not because it is a lie, but because it is not something you can support if you stay there for a long time. That specific lie can bite you in the ass in the future if you stay in that work environment and you will have to lie over and over till someone figures it out and it will get pretty bad.
You can feel free to tell them that you are dating someone though, if no other alternative has worked regarding their teasing.
Personally, I would tell them to stop and mind their business in a firm tone, but I am aware that not everyone has it in them to do that in a direct manner.

Honestly if they’re that ridiculous like being inappropriate you should go to HR, or whoever is in charge. Those guys won’t care that you’re engaged, if anything it would make you more of a target. Something about women and men already being taken makes them such a catch, and if you don’t believe it just take a few scrolls through this very app.

Hahaha.. such a nice problem to have... since when was any woman telling thirsty / desperate guys that they were spoken for , engaged , married , or even lesbian even deter them? Guys of this ilk are generally encouraged to be persistent , some even rewarded for it !!! and not phased by rejection so it serves no purpose to lie.. just weakens how your perceived. Lots of women fake this even when no guys are into them, they just want people to think they have someone. I know a woman who was saying for years that she was engaged and had a ring on but she was totally faking it. I even had a female family member years back say long after her divorce that she was still married to the guy.

One of my best friends did this to avoid unwanted male attention. Most guys can’t tell the difference between a 5ct diamond ring and ring from a Cracker Jack box. It was generally an effective deterrent against guys who were wanting a relationship. But was rather ineffective with guys who had more short term goals.

Things became awkward when she fell for me and I wore a real ring. But that is a different story….😂
