Can a person change?

My guy is a charmer and always has been especially with the ladies. We have been friends for years but i never wanted to be involved with him cause i felt he had too many female "friends". Well now he is 53 and way more laid back and i don't see all the red flags i used to so i got into a relationship with him. Now im starting to see that he DOES have lots of female friends and is always so helpful and caring about them Or their needs. Am i being immature and looking too much into it and can a once player ever really settle down?

I guess this change you’re thinking of involves him getting rid of these female friends, or being less involved with them. In which case, I doubt he would change because he doesn’t see it as a problem. Whether it’s a problem or not is for you to decide, but if it ultimately is then do yourself a favor and leave that relationship. What you don’t want are future arguments about his connections after you choose to stay with him regardless of not liking it.

I think players always have the desire to be with many women. Hopefully with age he has settled down somewhat. I suggest you find out more about how exactly he cares about their needs. If it means he spends a lot time with them including possibly sex, he's probably not someone you want to be in a relationship with, unless you are okay with it.

He never is around these women alone, im always there so that's why its annoying to see how eager and helpful he is willing to be

It’s very unlikely that someone will change because it’s who they are as a person. Can you accept him for who he is? That’s the biggest question because it’s what makes a relationship work. Acceptance is the only way to make it work.

I can accept most anything IF its in the past and he isn't actually crossing any lines or having sex with anyone else
