It was a work trip. So sure they have to eat and had to share one car. But I was not happy about it.
1 yIf it's not too co-workers just grabbing a quick bite during lunch break because they happen to have their break at the same time and it's a short quick got to get back to work kind of thing then absolutely yes it is most certainly wrong. There are certain activities that are no longer appropriate for either party to engage in once you're married or otherwise committed to someone romantically long-term. Any one-on-one activity with a member of the opposite sex that is not immediate family is one of those categories that is inappropriate to engage in for either husband or wife, and I don't care how long you been friends with somebody or what. The only way to make damn sure you're not cheating, and won't cheat is to studiously avoid putting yourself in any situation where you might be tempted to or that would allow that possibility to eventually come about.

1 yare you insecure?
you are srparate people, even if in relationship... you have your social circles... it's natural to spend time with people from your circles and maintain friendships and acquaintanceships... he did nothing wrong...
if you will throw tantrum every time your husband will meet someone... if you will groundlessly question his credibility... he will start to think you don't trust him... because you don't... even if he didn't give you any reason... so when he starts to believe you don't trust him... your relationship will end... because relationships can't exist without trust...
so think what you really want to achieve...
and maybe it's a time to meet a therapist and work on your insecurities?

1 yFor a few years, I had a female boss, and we went on a few customer visits together, each trip typically lasting 2 or 3 days. We almost always ate meals together. My wife had no problem with that, nor did my boss's husband. We were two professionals on business, nothing more.
Before you ask, we had separate hotel rooms.

Anonymous(25-29)1 yIf you're feeling wrong about it, then it's over your boundaries and it's not ok... He agreed to a trip with some woman without discussing it with you beforehand? That would be a huge red flag... Listen, my dad had 'events' like that, and he did cheat on my mom after all... Imagine, he had children and didn't care...
Well I'd hope it was not your case. But if you tell him you're not comfortable and you don't want that to happen again and he's not understanding... You have a deeper problem than you think. :/

1 yIt kinda depends on how this work trip was set up, I think.
Like was it ten people from your husband's company, and your husband and this one woman decided to go somewhere and eat by themselves? Or was it JUST your husband and the woman on this work trip?
Also, is the woman attractive? Have you met her? Do your husband and this woman seem to be kind of into each other?
Akso, how did you find out about it? If your husband told you without being asked, that's probably a good sign. If he tried to hide it from you, and you found out by accident, that's probably a bad sign.

Is it wrong for my husband to have dinner with his married female co worker on a work trip?

1 yBreakfast is breakfast, lunch is lunch & dinner is dinner & when it comes to food we all have to eat. As for your husband & his female coworker they have to eat too & as for you trust is a wonderful thing & hopefully your husband doesn’t do anything to void that trust.
10 Reply They are co-workers on a business trip. It's not like she is going on a date to be alone with him. I would relax. Nothing is going to happen unless both of them want it.
But if I were you, I'd ask my husband if you could meet his co-worker after they have returned (unless of course she's working from a different location).

1 yI have done it in the past, with my last job. I am not married but the women who worked for the same company as me usually were married. It was never an issue.
After I left my last job, I would occasionally meet up with women who worked in the same industry (medical related), for lunch at one of the hospitals. There was no funny business going on, so no big deal. Whether or not these women told their husbands? I don't know. It was no big deal.
00 Reply I don't think is necessarily wrong for him to do so, but it is understandable to feel the unhappy about it.
This is what I recommend. Let him know how to feel about it but don't accuse him of anything. It might be an important for his job to have dinner with coworkers and it does not mean that he intends to cheat or have any romantic interest in the woman. Consider asking him when and where those dinners will be in the future.
Hope this helps.
00 Reply10.2K opinions shared on Relationships topic. It is not wrong. I have business lunches and dinners with male coworkers, and my husband does the same with female coworkers. It goes along with the jobs.

1 yNice to hear that you weren't happy about it 😃 Your husband can count himself lucky. Even though the dinner itself is completely harmless. Unless she is very attractive. 😅

1 ySeems normal. My bfs have traveled for work, and the group almost always grabs dinner together. Same if it's just two of them and the other is a woman.

00 Reply I have female friends/colleagues who i go out for coffee with etc. similarly my ex-wife has coffee with her male colleagues (not the reason we split). We were absolutely comfortable with it.
