Why do you think my girlfriend won't share post with me on her social media?

We have been together for a few months, almost a year. Both of our families know about our relationship. Almost all of my photos are with her, but my girlfriend doesn't share anything with me. She doesn't even share snaps. This sometimes makes me suspicious and I start to think she is cheating on me.

Before I met my now (husband) and had a break-up with my 2nd boyfriend, I decided not to ever post anything about a boyfriend unless it I'm close to getting married. I've reached a period in my life where I was tired of someone temporary wasting my time. I would keep my profile as single until we got engaged. Then I updated it to engaged and finally to married.

During the boyfriend and girlfriend stage, there is no need to be posting too much on social media, esp if you've only been dating for a couple months and you're older. You're not in HS nor in your early 20's anymore. In case a break-up happens, then you have to explain what happened and everything you've posted is goes to the garbage.

Yeah, I think this is a valid reason, but also she could have other options so it shows a bit of lack of commitment in comparison to putting a pictures of yourself and your partner for me that would actually make me more attracted to my partner and I would be more sure that she is sure about me. so maybe she is unsure or just don’t want to deal with explaining in case you guys break up. But I know what you mean because my ex-girlfriend did the same. She didn’t want to change the relationship status on Facebook and I was really surprised and I wasn’t sure if she takes the relationship seriously. Turns out she left me in the end.

It was my first girlfriend. And we were together for 4 months but it felts like 4 years for some reason. We skipped all the games and she wanted me to move in after 2 weeks but that went abit to fast for me. She started talking about kids and stuff. I was overwhelming. I liked that we went fast because we became so comfortable together. I felt like I had known her my whole life. But then issues came up which broke my trust and I wouldn’t trust her anymore. But I was willing to work through it to rebuild the trust. We were different in so areas too. Communication is important for me but she didn’t prioritize me like I prioritized her. It’s was long distance relationship and I had plans to move to her after I finished my studies. Around 1 year. She wanted me to move in after two weeks. But I wasn’t sure about her. Imagine if I would have moved and she would break up in another contry. It was pretty immature to break up after telling me all these things we even talked about plans the day before the break up. Not cool.

Thank you for sharing your story. It can be harder to break up and see the red flags when it's your first relationship. Moving in after 2 weeks would sound like lovebombing to me. It's very rare for our first relationship to work out but not impossible. The way I see things, think of a relationship like a game you're playing. If everything is well and you've successfully completed the prior levels and gather all things, then it progresses. If not, then it goes nowhere and it's game over; a break-up.
