This song was a hit in 1978, the same year that my husband deserted our new baby son and myself on December 2nd - just before Christmas. 😔 He had a No Tell Lover and I hated hearing this song on my stereo because it reminded me of what he was doing.

Wow. I wrote a whole lot more, but it did not stay. It's done this many times now. So I have to write it again.

I had said I turned 16 that year. I acquired my first job at Grandma's Fried Chicken and bought my first pickup truck. I got to chase girls that summer. It was a great year, but 1979 was the best of my life even though my parents divorced for the 3rd time, or was it the second. I think the 2nd. But anyway, the sex was hot and educational. 🙂

1979 was probably the worst year of my life 💔. My husband had just abandoned my new baby son and I was so broken hearted. All of a sudden I was a single Mom and my husband didn't even call me! He went off in the sunset and never looked back.
Because he had a No Tell Lover!
