How would you feel if your partner was friends with your ex?

One of my wife's best friends is a woman who I briefly dated way before we got together. To be fair they were friends before that and since at the time my wife was in another relationship herself, there was no drama of sorts.

As for the friendship continuing, I think it helped that our relationship was very brief (a month or so) and it wasn't a dramatic breakup, it just fizzled up by itself after we realized we didn't have much in common that didn't involve going out to eat and sleeping together.

Currently we are friendly with each other and she's one of those people who can ring our bell at dinner and we'd gladly get her a seat and plate, but she has much more rapport with my wife and honestly I don't mind.

that does not represent that much of a problem to me...

my exes from high-school and college days are two of my closest friends, today and they know each other, while they're not best friends with one another, they know each other and get along really well... we just have different circles of friends that do not exactly mingle...

and my other every ex would get along well enough with them too... if they happened to click even more and become good friends, that wouldn't be an issue with me because I do not see my exes as my "ex-girlfriends" I do see them as my long time friends... lol

Your situation is different because your wife was already friends with her when you dated your ex. In my case, my wife was living 80 miles away, and within the Chinese-American culture of that city, so she would have no way of knowing anyone else I ever dated. If she wanted to become friends with one of my exes now. . . I have nothing to hide, but I would be quite concerned about her motives.
