So I know this female who’s an alcoholic. In a bad relationship, guy hits her.

now no one period deserves to get hit. Would I hit a woman? No way. I don’t have it in me to do so.

They say there’s always two sides to every story. Could’ve she played a part? Not saying being hit was justified though.

Unless it’s in self defense, there’s never a good excuse for someone to put their hands on anyone, man or woman. Whether the victim’s behavior warrants it or not, If the abuser is so fed up, angry or whatever with their partner, then they should stop making excuses to stay with and leave.

Look , she's an acholic , giving her a good smack in the cops is not going to help ( may make it worse ) , she's not a good person , and hence she is attracting a bloke like this , I have one ex colleague who is still getting beaten to this day , been going on 25 years , I also know of a poster here who is being beaten ( tries to laugh it off and justify ) ..

Anyone who is being hit , male or female should leave immediately , in the case of this situation , this guy should just leave , stop hitting her , just get out , and seek counselling so he can control his anger.

For her , her goal should be to clean up her side of the act , they should NOT be together , and there are no excuses , they both have problems.

My friend in Australia ( beaten for years ) makes excuses for her husband , but she is pretty dam stupid also frankly , The one here , also makes excuses..

No he has no blame for his alcoholism. alcoholics will try to. If he is part of that 10% of population that is alcoholic then it will continue to get worse. In the meantime if she were to go to al-anon meetings they may be able to help with issue. Just as AA may help with her alcoholism. Alcoholism is an incredibly difficult thing to live with and if she doesn't have any chance of him getting into rehab and then permanently sober via AA, then she should leave either temporarily I. e until he is straight and emotionally sober. Unless she's coming towards him with a weapon and it's done in legitimate self-defense only, there is no reason to ever hit a partner, much less someone Wesker and smaller than you. It makes you a coward.

Would he do the same if one of his guy friends of his own size was drunk or to his boss at work? If not then he's a coward and a punk.
