Should I stop doing things for him?

I was doing a bunch of girlfriend things for a guy that I liked such as bringing him lunch, loan him money, borrowing stuff, give my free time to him and much more. After months, he decided we should just be friends so I no longer do the things I was doing before for him. He's convinced me that what im doing isn't girlfriend things and more friendly things and that i should continue doing them for him. He says his friends lend him money and let him borrow things and he pays/give them stuff back. So far he hasn't done anything, he doesn't pay me back nor will he give back stuff I let him borrow.
